|~ A description of the wraith's species|
The wraith was a minor antagonist in Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy who worked for notorious ship thief and Imperial spy Niles Ferrier. A member of the enigmatic Defel species, this wraith is left unnamed in the trilogy. Though he was an useful ally for Ferrier throughout the trilogy, after his betrayal was revealed, Ferrier abandoned the wraith as he tried to escape. The current fate of the wraith is unknown.
Unlike most creatures defined as wraiths, the Defel species are not spirits or ghosts. They are actually lupine creatues. However, due to their camouflaged fur, they appear, to the human eye, to be made up of shadows.
