~ The Whisperers

The Whisperers (Mormoranti in the Italian original version, singular Mormorante) are flower-like humanoid beings that were created by Prince Phobos with his flesh through sorcery and they speak with haunting and echoing voices. They are minor villains in both W.I.T.C.H. comic book series and its animated series of the same name.

Chronology

During the reign of Phobos, the evil Prince of Metamoor (Meridian) began his cult of self-worship and had become obsessed with himself. He recreate the royal court of Meridian and to favor his rule, he created the Whisperers from a flower and from his own essence. The Whisperers served as his own court officials who were the only ones permitted to see Phobos in person. Daltar stated that Phobos was locked in the castle with the court of Whisperers.

Apparently, some Whisperers became independent and have gained their own will. Caleb was amongst the independent Whisperers.

Another is Raskal who appeared in the special issue Return of the Queen.

Later Phobos developed a new kind of Whisperers but more powerful called the Annihilators.
