The Watchmaker's Apprentice is the protagonist of the song of the same name by the Clockwork Quartet.
He was the apprentice of Mr. McArthur, clockmaker. He was thrown out on the street when McArthur bought a clockmaking machine. He swore revenge. When McArthur left that night, he broke in. He concocted a plot to murder a man in an unspecified "messy" way, framing McArthur. McArthur barely made bail with all his money and was ruined. He started looking all over the town for his apprentice, who had already left for the coast.
