War, one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, appeared on the TV series Supernatural in the Season 5 episode "Good God, Y'All!", played by Titus Welliver, who also portrayed James Savoy.
Posing as a citizen named Roger (whom he murdered and assumed the form of), War used his ring to cast incredibly realistic illusions, making it seem as though demons had infested a small Connecticut town and thus causing the townsfolk to start killing each other, believing they were fighting demons. He took joy from watching all this bloodshed, casually controlling the chaos while pretending to be a scared victim himself. He also destroyed the bridge and rendered all communications in the area inoperable to help cement the illusion.
When Sam Winchester was captured by Jo Harvelle and Rufus Turner, War taunted Sam about his demon blood addiction. Later, as he was making his way toward his Mustang, he was defeated when Sam cut his ring finger off. Without the ring, he was unable to take physical form and was eventually reduced to a withered husk.
