Vladimir Wakeman (formerly known as Mr. Scruffles) is the lab-rat of Dr. Wakeman and a recurring antagonist in My Life as a Teenage Robot.
He was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, who also voiced the Joker in The Batman, Gantu in Lilo & Stitch, Kamek in The Super Mario Bros. Biography[]
Vladimir is the leader of a gang of rats that first appeared in "Pest Control". Vladimir grew tired of being the test subject of Nora's experiments and decided to plot revenge on her after hearing one of her speeches to Jenny. Vladimir and the lab-rats put Jenny under sleep and steal her body dropping off the head in the process. The lab-rats hack into her body and gain control of it, then Vladimir intends on using its weaponry to destroy Nora. However, his plan is foiled thanks to Jenny (whose head was put on a car toy) with the help of Tuck. Vladimir is then put on a Mickey Mouse costume as punishment for his crimes.
He later returns in season 3 episode "The Legion of Evil", where he, the Mad Hammer Bros., Mudslinger and Lancer form into the Legion of Evil to share their vengeance against Jenny. They nearly succeeded on defeating Jenny, but they were foiled by her teammates who helped defeat most members of the legion until leaving Vladimir alone who got quickly captured by Jenny. He and the rest of the legion were used as team project to present in class by Jenny and company.
Trivia[]
- Vladimir and his comrades are an homage to the early designs of Mickey Mouse, particularly the pair of little mouse pants that Nora reveals at the end. Also, Mrs. Wakeman's shoes are similar to Minnie Mouse.
- The rats' decidedly Soviet leanings may be a homage to Worker and Parasite, an animated show within The Simpsons.
