~ Vega Donna

Vega Donna is the wife of the Demon Lord Nobunaga Oda. Like her husband, she is a demon-human hybrid that serves as the queen of the Genma. She has two giant claw-like appendages attached to her sholders that she uses to help her climb and jump when fighting. She also has exceptional speed and dextarity. She is a major antagonist in Onimusha 3: Demon Siege.

History[]

Little is known about Vega Donna's history. There is a strong possibilty that she is based on Nobunaga's real life wife, Nohime.

Nohime was the daughter of Dousan Saito and thus princess of the Saito family. She was later married to Nobunaga to form a political allaince between the Oda and Saito clans. After a few years, the alliance was annulled, and the Oda defeated the Saito clan and claimed their territory.

If Vega Donna is of the Saito bloodline, it is very interesting to note that she would be the sister of Princess Yuki, a Saito princess that was saved from the demons by Samanosuke Akechi in the first Onimusha game.

Onimusha 3: Demon Siege[]

Vega Donna makes her first and only appearence in the third Onimusha. She is a major Oda general forcing French slaves to work at Mont St. Michel on a gigantic Genma capable to transporting Azuchi Castle. After the castle is completed, she commands the cannons to destroy the citadel. She then leads the defence of Azuchi Castle from an attack by Jacques Blanc and an Oni army. When Jacques reaches the top level of the castle, Vega Donna awaits and challenges him to a fight.

Vega Donna's strongest attribute is her agility. She can jump high, and with the help of her calw appendages, she can swing on castle beams. She also can produce dopplegangers to attack Jacques.

Vega Donna is beaten by Jacques, and her dying words are devoted to her husband, saying how she wishes she could have died in his arms.
