My top 100 favorite villain deaths

Given my interest in them and so many there are I had to do a big list.

Spoilers of course for anything these are for.

  • 1 Honorable mention
  • 2 100-76
  • 3 75-51
  • 4 50-26
  • 5 25-1

Queen Chrysalis, Lord Tirek, and Cozy Glow - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Queen Chrysalis is one of my Mystery Six, and the longest-running of them. (Note that Riptide and Azazel won't be here as they died offscreen and their deaths were among similar tragic deaths of innocent mutants) She seemingly fell to her death in Season 2 as the first Knight of Cerebus who turned everyone against Twilight and nearly tricked her into killing the real Princess Cadance and ruined Shining Armor and Cadance's wedding. But she turns up again in Season 6, and though her entire army reforms, she…

Anime MVD: Favorite order

Anime main villain deaths I have seen, ranked from least to most favorite.

This will exclude the following:

  • Black Lagoon – Arcs are too short compared to others
  • One Punch Man – Same as above
  • Yosihkage Kira (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) – I never got that far
  • Zeref (Fairy Tail) – I never got that far either
  • Movies that don't fit into TV canon

And Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai, though I count them as separate animes, will be counted together since the death scenes are pretty much the same.

Contains spoilers as to the identity of the hidden main villain of the original Fullmetal Alchemist.

55: Pharaoh 90 – Sailor Moon

The main villain of Sailor Moon S, the third Sailor Moon season. Compared to the final battles of the last two seasons, this one felt…

Anime main villain deaths

I did one for animated MVD's that aren't anime. Now here's one for animes.

Excluding any animes I haven't seen (besides, all the ones I'd enjoy I've likely seen already, unless The Vision of Escaflowne would be any fun). Also I haven't gotten further than Stardust Crusaders on JoJo so Yoshikage Kira won't be here. I have seen part of Fairy Tail but I haven't gotten nearly as far as Hades, the only main villain to die, as I lost interest long before that.

Also excluding revived (with one exception due to its sequel series not fitting in and being like a split timeline, at least to me) and redeemed.

Also didn't list Black Lagoon due to arcs being a lot shorter, but then, this can be said for One Punch Man as well so I might list them eventually…

Animated villain deaths from least to most gruesome

I recently did a blog describing each of them, now here I'm ranking them from least to most gruesome (inspired by others doing similar lists). Again, only based on animated movies and shows I've seen, and not including anime, redeemed, revived (except one since many consider his revival season non-canon and have other theories on this, so, dying a second time, he'll be listed twice), or non-speaking (again, except one due to being the first in a trilogy and forcing others to do her bidding). Also not counting Judge Doom yet as, though he's a toon, it's in a live-action setting. But I will include Aku, Lotor, and Sendak here this time. But again, I'll also exclude Ozzy and Strut and Ichy and Dil for now.

I know others have differing opinions…

Animated villain deaths

Excluding anime.

Also, I haven't seen enough Adventure Time or Rick and Morty to list anyone from there.

This list will also only include speaking main villains. An exception on the speaking part will be Red Death. Also, some of the less definitive ones won't be listed, but a few slightly ambigious ones will be, and identified as such.

I love when animated movies and shows aren't afraid to do this... though it was an anime that ignited this flame in the first place.
