|“||The SWAT Kats? What are they doing here?||„|
|~ Ulysses Feral|
Although nominally a good guy, Feral can be (and has been) quite antagonistic towards the SWAT Kats, and in fact, he is directly responsible for their creation because he fired them from the Enforcers. He demanded that the back off and let him shoot down Dark Kat just so he could get credit from the media and when they didn't obey him, his attempt to pass them caused them to lose control of their jet and crash. Although they bailed out, their craft crashed into and partially destroyed Enforcer Headquarters. In addition to this, Dark Kat got away.
Feral blamed the building's destruction and the villain's escape on them and fired them after a heated argument in which Chance questioned his authority. He sentenced them to work off their debt to the Enforcers in the city salvage yard, overseen by Burke and Murray. Chance and Jake found military salvage in the junkyard and decided to build their own jet to become vigilantes known as the SWAT Kats.
Feral has a strong and obvious dislike for the SWAT Kats, whom he considered them to be "reckless vigilantes." He wanted the Enforcers to arrest the SWAT Kats after they destroyed his tank that Hard Drive hijacked (although part of this may have been because two of his men were killed in the process). No matter what, Feral wants to get the SWAT Kats out of the way. Most of the his ego got the best of him. He was a leader of sound principles, however. When the Metallikats offered to reveal the identities of the SWAT Kats in exchange for their freedom, he rejected the offer, saying, "I don't deal with scum."
Whilst the Enforcers typically are not up to scratch in the various threats affecting Megakat City, he stubbornly refuses to acknowledge the SWAT Kats' help, determined to do things on his own, but on several occasions has shown a willingness to stay out of their way when the situation called for it. Feral however is still trying to figure out who the SWAT Kats are and capture them.
- In "Cry Turmoil", Feral was originally intended to have been the one Turmoil corrupted. However, that idea was scrapped.
- Interestingly enough, he was going to become one of Kataluna's victims in the unfinished episode "The Curse of Kataluna".
- If he had finally captured the SWAT Kats and realized it was Chance Furlong and Jake Clawson, he would put them in jail, have them chased out of Megakat City or worse, and he would use the TurboKat and other of their gadgets for the Enforcers.
