Gustav Fiers (also known as: The Gentleman or The Man in the Shadows) is a comic book villain who appeared in Spider-Man universe. He appears as a minor antagonist in the 2012 Spider-Man movie "The Amazing Spider-Man" and returns as the supporting fifth antagonist of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and there were rumors that he was going to be the quaternary antagonist in the 2016 cancelled movie "The Sinister Six".
Even though he appeared only on two films and the entire TASM franchise was ultimately cancelled due to the agreement between Sony and Marvel Studios to show Spider-Man in the MCU for the first time in Civil War, he is the overall true main antagonist of the two films as he orchestrated the entirety of the events while assisting Harry Osborn in his goals, which makes Harry the Big Bad and Fiers the Bigger Bad.

after the first movie ,in the ending of TASM2 ,he appeard again and talked with Harry Osborn while he (Osborn) in "Ravencroft" about to assemble an army of criminals and turn them into supervillains against Spider-Man ,Harry and Fiers are taking first Aleksei Sytsevich and give him a big armed and armored robotic suit look like-rhino and Aleksei in the rhino-robot suit attacks half of the city which finally brings back Spider-Man to fight supervillains and criminals who threatened the city.
- The franchise of TASM was ultimately cancelled because of the reason that Marvel Studios re-bought the rights on Spider-Man from Sony Pictures Entertainment, the holders of the character's rights for many years since 2002, so, it was agreed between them to introduce Spider-Man inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time ever in Captain America: Civil War, as a supporting protagonist, thus the franchise of TASM as well as the planned projects; Venom, The Sinister Six and more future movies as part of the The Amazing Spider-Man film universe were cancelled.
