The Tetrapodophis is the minor antagonist in the 2015 Disney/Pixar film The Good Dinosaur.
It is a red lizard-like snake that Arlo encounters on his journey.
The Good Dinosaur
The Tetrapodophis appears when Spot found berries on a tree. Arlo tries to grab them but a Tetrapodophis on the tree falls on top of Arlo, resulting in them falling down the mountain. At the bottom, the angry Tetrapodophis tries to attack Arlo, but Spot fights and defeats it, resulting in the Tetrapodophis retreating, leaving Arlo and a nearby Styracosaurus named Forrest Woodbush amazed by Spot's strength.
- Tetrapodophis are four-legged snakes that lived in the early Cretaceous Period. They are currently the only snakes with four legs. Suprisingly, Tetrapodophis was discovered and named in 2015, the same year the film was released. The Tetrapodophis in the film was probably added late in development.
