Squint is one of the secondary antagonists of the 2012 film Ice Age: Continental Drift and the main antagonist of the 2016 short film Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade. He is a prehistoric Palaeolagus-like rabbit and a member of Captain Gutt's crew.
Squint is the archnemesis to Sid.
He was voiced by Aziz Ansari in Ice Age: Continental Drift and Seth Green in Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade.
Biography[]
Squint serves as the pirates' "bad boy" and he seems to enjoy his lifestyle according to his brother Clint, everytime he tries to scheme something he comes back at their rabbit home(presumably failures or punishments). One day, he was lost at sea on a drift of ice cap and found by Captain Gutt and his crew, vowing his life to him and being the very insane one of the group. He and the rest of the crew look down on Manny, Sid, Diego, and Granny, he tells his allies to attack and Shira stops his command. Like the rest of the crew, they were enjoying tormenting their prisoners and having fun at the same time.
After Shira betrays the crew, Squint becomes the first mate and takes full control of it. In the climax, he was distracted by Shira when she teased him on how cute he is for wiggling his nose and gets stomped on by Ellie. Squint survived the final battle in Continental Drift (presumably that he stowed away on the boat, and returned to his home as a failure), as he is seen as the main antagonist in a short episode "Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade".
Personality[]
As the "bad boy" of the pirates, Squint is deranged, rude, deceitful, and overconfident, as he seems to enjoy laughing at others and heads for battle. His passions are his bone knives and acts of violence. Known to have more energy than the whole crew and it can last for days. He just wants to be a better first mate than Shira. He gets agitated for hearing jokes like calling him "Easter Bunny" by Manny did, going in an aggressive state. Also, calling him cute or cuddly just makes him very angry.
Powers and Abilities[]
Despite his small size, Squint is the fastest and most violent of the crew, always rushing first in battle and being able to act quickly in the heat of battle.

- Squint is voiced by Aziz Ansari, as they needed someone to match the character, small but with a big attitude.
- The fact that Squint was alone in the short film may mean that the rest of the crew died or that he got separated from them. It's also unknown how he managed to escape during the battle between the pirates and the herd.
- Squint had a rivalry with Shira even before she betrays the crew, as he is seen smiling smugly when Gutt berates Shira for not killing Manny and the herd.
- In the original draft for Ice Age: Continental Drift, Squint was going to be the captain, and he would have had a peg-leg.
- Nathan Lane was considered for the role of Squint before Aziz Ansari was cast.
- Most fans were expecting Crash and Eddie to come cross with Squint since there both annoying idiots, but only Sid serves as his archenemy because Crash and Eddie have minor roles in the fourth film.
- Yet Squint did suffer in The Great Egg Scapade when he fell in Crash and Eddies April fool prank while they mocked him (Yet Squint still deserves it for what he did to Sid).
