Spats Columbo is the main villain of the 1959 film Some Like It Hot. He is portrayed by George Raft.
In an event loosely based on the Valentines Day Massacre, Spats and his Mafia cohorts gun down a group of rival gangsters in a garage. The two protagonists, Joe and Jerry, accidentally witness the carnage and manage to escape being killed as witnesses by dressing in drag and joining a female jazz band.
Later on, at a Florida hotel, Spats runs into the two musicians while visiting for an "Italian opera-lover's convention". Before he can catch them, a gunman pops out of a birthday cake and kills him, along with the rest of his gang.
