The Snake is a villain in the famous book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince.

In the 1974 film adaptation, he was portrayed by Bob Fosse.

Character and Role

The Snake is a deceiving, treacherous, arrogant, and cunning animal who tries to trick the Prince using his naïvety, telling him he can "send him back to where he came from". However, it is just a trick to bite and kill him. Later in the book and movie, he allows the snake to bite him, and as he slowly dies, he tells the Aviator to look after his flower.
