The Sea Anemone Canth is the minor antagonist of Choudenshi Bioman, appearing in Episodes 7 and 8 as the major and final antagonist. He was the sea anemone themed Mecha-Gigan at the service of Neo Empire Gear and under the command of Doctor Man, Mason and Messer Beast. He helped Mason and Messer Beast with their plan to capture Peebo, the android friend of the Biomen and use him for the Gear's goals.
Biography[]
Sea Anemone Canth was deployed by Doctor Man during the scheme to help Mason and Messer Beast to capture Peebo, the android friend of Biomen and use him for the Gear's goals. When Peebo discovered a letter from a friend from Bio, it inspired Doctor Man to start a plot involving making the robot believe that his friend has returned after 500 years. An old friend of Peebo named Joy from the Bio Star wrote him a letter and tried to contact him in order to get reacquainted after 500 years in space hyper-sleep. But Doctor Man intercepted the message and made a plan to capture Peebo, forcing the Biomen to surrender. For this plan, Doctor Man deployed the Sea Anemone Canth to assist Mason and Messer Beast in capturing Peebo, when he would trie to connect his old friend. This Canth used its tendrils for attack against its opponents capable of emitting energy surges and has four machine guns in the head. It is also capable of jumping high into the air.
Later Doctor Man created a plan of capturing Peebo by using the mechahuman clone of his beloved friend Joy. Peebo tried to connect his friend, not realizing that his Joy was already dead, and so Doctor Man created a Mecha-Human in Joy's likeness. Despite the Biomen's best efforts, Doctor Man's forces managed to capture what they believed to be Peebo's friend. This caused Peebo's circuits to go crazy as he couldn't stand to see his friend in pain. The Biomen had no choice but to chain Peebo up like a dog to prevent him from doing something crazy and reckless. The Biomen tried to make good the rescue of Peebo's friend, but had a run-in with one of Doctor Man's mighty mecha. Peebo then freed himself and ended up getting captured. Peebo didn't not know this, but his friend was a Mecha-clone in disguise. When Mason and Messer Beast first used Sea Anemone Canth, he successfully captured Peebo when android tried to save what he believed to be Joy. Though Biomen tried to fight the Canth, it got away forcing them to pursue and save Peebo from Mason and Messer Beast. When Peebo was captured, Mason tried to interrogate him and learn from Peebo about Biomen's weakness. Peebo of course refused, but Mason threatened to torture what Peebo believed to be Joy and Peebo agreed to tell Mason what he wanted to know. The Biomen saved Peebo, but Peebo didn't want to leave his friend in the Empire's grip. So the android sneaked into the Empire's Base and saw the mechaclone blueprints of his friend. Peebo then revealed and realized that Joy was actually a mechahuman in disguise and the message from Joy he received previously was fake.
After Peebo realized the fake mechahuman Joy and learned about the true Joy's mesage, Doctor Man sent Sea Anemone Canth to eliminate the Biomen and the Bio Robo. However, the heroes quickly defeated the monster by using Super Maser's Comet Cutter.
