Salamandra is a major antagonistic faction in the Witcher franchise, serving as the secondary antagonists of the first Witcher game.
It is a criminal group founded by Zerrikan sorcerer Azar Javed. During the story, this group helps realize Jacques de Aldersberg's goals by creating mutant people for him.
Description[]
The Salamandra organization is the safest and most influential criminal group on the entire northern continent, having huge contracts in all major state offices. In addition, this group has hideouts in the Temerian capital of Vizima, among others in the Vizimia Suburb or old Vizima, thanks to their hideouts in Vizima they can bribe every influential person in this capital, and thanks to this the Professor was able to legally get out of prison, despite the circulating arrest warrants.
They derive huge income from Salamander thanks to drug dealing related to fisstech, numerous thefts and extorting bribes. The organization also has a laboratory producing fisstech and other drugs located in the sewers under Vizima, alchemists are forcibly recruited for production.
Salamander members always wear brooches with Salamander on a white background, becoming a symbol of this organization.
