SAM is the antagonist of the computer horror game 7Days. It haunts an unseen and unknown person for seven, continuous days.

Story[]

Day 1[]

A person wakes up in a bedroom without any prior knowledge of what happened to him or her. He or she leaves the bedroom and explores other nearby rooms. The person is unaware that a dark presence is watching them. While walking through a hallway, the person hears footsteps behind them. However, they don't see anyone. When the person enters a dining room, they feel a strange sensation. On the wall is SAM written in blood. The same name is used to open a chest in the kitchen. The person finds a key and uses it to unlock the door to library. Upon entry, they hear footsteps again but they still don't see anyone. They find a black key in a bookcase surrounded by blood. They use the black key to unlock a black door in a passageway. The black doors lead to a strange room containing a white key. Suddenly, there is knocking on the door. Before the person can use the white key, they are greeted by a dark silhouette with white eyes. A piece of paper lies on the floor. It reads "It's not time yet". Everything goes dark and the person loses consciousness.

Day 2[]

The person wakes up again in the same bedroom. After getting out of bed, they try to leave the room. The door closes by itself and is locked. The person searches the bedroom for another way out. After looking through a nearby bookcase, the person finds a book and opens it. SAM is writing in big, bold letters on white pages. The person realizes that SAM is the name of thing that is stalking him or her. Suddenly, knocking can be heard on the door and it unlocks. The person opens the door but they aren't greeted by anyone or anything. They decide to leave the room and directly to the hallway. After entering the hallway, the person notices that the layout has changed. The area has become narrow and there are only two doors. The first door is locked but they person manages to open the second door without any trouble. Inside the room is a wooden table with chairs and an empty cage. The person finds yet another key which lays in the one of the corners. After picking up the key, they are greeted by the sound of a Grand Father Clock.

They leave the room and use the new key to unlock the other door. When entering the second room, it is almost identical to the first room. They only exceptions are a potted plant and another door. The door opens a moment later. This time, there is a room that contains the grand father clock and a long hallway. The person decides to walk through the long hallway. Two doors are at the end of the hallway. The right door leads to a room containing nothing but an empty cage. The left door leads to a room containing a yellow couch, an old TV, and a painting of a girl. The person enters left room but doesn't find anyone. Without warning, they experiences a strange aura. At the same time, the painting is suddenly coated with blood. They leave the room and heads towards a kitchen but leave after finding it vacant. Instead, they find a path of blood that leads back to the beginning of the hallway. Unlike before, a wall is placed directly in front of the hall. The person experiences another aura and finds a second letter lying on the ground. Like before, it reads "its not time yet". This causes the person to lose consciousness.

Day 3[]

The third time, the person wakes up in the same bedroom. This time, there is a note lying on a nearby table. According the note, the person must keep the way and not look back. After reading it, the bedroom's door unlocks itself. The person opens the door which reveals a narrow and straight hallway. As they enter, their vision becomes red and blurry. The door automatically shuts itself, forcing the person to move through the hallway. As they go through they hallway, wooden doors shut on both sides and they see brief seconds of static. At the same time, a dark form is chasing them.

Eventually, the person reaches a room with four doors. As they enter, the door to the hall closes and locks itself. Their vision also returns to normal. The person tries to open the four rooms, but most of the doors are locked. After much searching, they manage to open the bottom left door. Going inside the room, the person finds a gold key in a corner. Taking it, they return to the room with four doors. They manage to unlock the top left door. Inside, there is another hallway but with more doors. They open the first door on the right. They find a room that has nothing but a broken TV, a book shelf, a yellow couch, and a painting of a meadow. Disappointed, they resume their search.

The person end up opening an another unlocked door on the right side of the hallway. In the second room, there is a dining table that is completely vacant. This time, there is a gold key behind the table. As the person picks it up, they hear the same footsteps from the first day. Leaving the room, they head back to wear. They use the gold key on the other doors. The person manages to open a door that to a room filled an outline of a dead body. and an empty picture frame. As the person goes to look at the outline, the door automatically closes. After examining the outline, the person notices a picture frame hung to the wall. Looking closer at the picture, there is a drawing of a white body in front of a dark background. Without warning, the picture changes. The colors reverse and the body disappears. The frame falls onto the ground, revealing a piece of paper taped to the way. There is a message, written in blood, on the paper saying "Stop lying to yourself. You must choose where to live.". After reading the message, there is a knock on the door. Confused, the person tries to open the door and finds it unlocked. Opening it, they are confronted by the same dark form that chasing them. Confused, the person tries to touch the form, but it suddenly disappears. Worried, they try to hide only to find an new open area with a table in the center. On the table, there is a sheet of paper. Like before, it reads "It is not time yet." This is followed by the process where the person loses consciousness.

Day 4[]

As before, the person wakes up in the same bedroom. Unlock last time, there is no paper on the table. Instead, the door is already unlocked. Opening it, the person finds a new but small hallway. There is a door, which is locked, across from the bedroom. Opening it, the person experiences an aura accompanied by a red but blurry vision. Suddenly, the door closes and becomes locked. Trapped, the person searches for a way out of the room. The room's layout changes several seconds later. They find a word written in blood and on the wall. Upon closer inspection, the word says "RUN." A passage ways appears right before a dark form emerges from behind the person. They are forced to run through several halls and rooms.

After much running, the person emerges into a vacant bedroom with a queen sized bed. Confused, the person tries to leave but is trapped again. They start to experience strange visions. The sheets, on the bed, turn from blue to red with blood stains. A moment later, the entire place changes into a yellow room and windowless room. The dark form, from the previous day, appears. It appears and communicates with the person. The form reveals himself to be SAM. It claims the person is living a lie but doesn't explain what it means. It disappears again but leaves a piece of paper. the paper written "It's not time yet." Once again, the person falls asleep.

Day 5[]

This time, the person wakes up in a hallway filled with a series of doors. Instead of waking up in a bed, the person wakes up on the floor. Each door leads to a small room. Inside them, there is a wooden statue. Confused, the person decides to leave the hallway. Without warning, the person is followed by noises. Looking behind, the person sees the wooden statues. Confused but still determined, they open a vent and go through it, still being followed by the statues. The person emerges into a room with a table. There is a note on the table. with the message "You cannot continue like this, didn't you understand why are you here yet?" on it.

The person is then greeted by Sam for a few brief seconds. During the same time, the room changes with blood red eyes on the wall. The room changes back to its original layout and is still being followed by the statues. They remove another vent and goes through it.

The person emerges into a large room. Instead of several doors, there is an altar surrounded by five nooses. As they observes the altar, the statues are somehow hung onto the nooses. This causes fire to burn on the altar. They observe the fire but don't find anything. Turning around, the person sees a trail of blood. It leads through a vent. Following the trail, they end up returning to the spot where they woke up. They find a human heart lying on the desk. After picking it up, they retrace their steps and up in the area with the altar and nooses. The person places the heart on the altar. The fire stops and is replaced by a key covered in blood. Picking it up, the person uses it to open yet door into a long and narrow hallway. They discover two metal gratings, each leading to a separate area. The person decides to unlock the steel grating on the right side. After traversing through a long passageway, they reach a room with three doors. Unfortunately two of them are locked but the third one is unlocked. The person opens the third door which leads them into a room with two bookshelves. They find a key behind the bookshelf and backtrack to the room with the locked doors. The person manages to unlock one of them. Once again, they encounter Sam. It disappears and the person enters a room filled with nothing but a single bookshelf and a yet another door. They open the door and enter a new bedroom that has a bookshelf, a table and a bed. There is a piece of paper on the table. Like before, it reads "It is not time yet." This is followed by the process where the person loses consciousness.

Day 6[]

Unlike the previous day, the person wakes in their bedroom. They door is already unlocked, which the person opens. Instead of a hallway, the person enters an outdoor area. It filled with a night sky, a straight row of trees, and a straight pathway of grey bricks. Walking down the path, the person arrives at what appears to be a metal gate. Opening it, they enter a cemetery consisting of gravestones. Like last time, the person is chased by SAM. Without thinking, the person runs through the cemetery until reaching a shack. Looking inside, they see a room that has nothing but a shovel. The door is locked, however, and the person resumes, walking.

After much exploring, the person reaches a small mausoleum that is open. Going inside, they find a piece of paper on a wooden desk. Looking at the sheet, the person reads a message saying "The mind covers the truth as the light covers the shadow.", and without any warning, the person's vision becomes partly red. Despite this change, the person keeps going. After more searching, the person finds another small mausoleum. Looking inside, they find a shovel. When they pick it up, their vision becomes more distorted. SAM appears behind the person and causes the room to shake it. A moment later, the shaking stops and the person's vision returns to normal.

Without waiting, the person uses the shovel to dig up each grave. After much searching, they find what appears to be an ancient coin. The person retraces their steps back to the second mausoleum. Along the way, the encounter a well that is surround by small circle of blood. The person decides to drop the key into the bottom of the well. Seconds later, a black ghost emerges from the hole. It screams and flies away into the air. Confused, the person decides to explore the rest of the graveyard. Without any warning, the person's vision darkens and they lose consciousness.

Day 7[]

On the seventh and final day, the person wakes up but not in their bedroom. Instead, they are in what appears to be a dark void and are surrounded by clouds of grey smoke. A straight path lies in front of the bed. Confused yet curious, they walk down it. A while later, they reach a door but is locked. With no other alternative, the person goes back to their bed. Without any warning, they fall into a chasm that is also surrounded by the dark void. After what seems like forever, the person suddenly stops. A white key somehow appears in the pocket.

A minute later, the person wakes up again but in their bedroom. They decide to open the door and leave the bedroom. This time, they enter into a room with three brown doors and a white door. Remembering the white key, the person uses it to open the white door. After opening it, they find another dark room filled with grey smoke. Without thinking, the person enters the room. This ends up being a fatal mistake as the door somehow closes by itself. The grey smoke then disappears. Without any other option, the person walks down the room. As they proceed further, their vision gradually changes to static. Eventually, they reach the end of the room. SAM appears to be waiting for the person. It mentions cryptic messages while the room darkens. At the same time, the person experiences an aura where they see redness. After discussing the cryptic messages, SAM causes the person to fall asleep. This time, they fall asleep forever. SAM then disappears into the void and isn't seen again.
