|“||For the treachery of the Empire against the Noghri people. We were betrayed. We have been avenged.||„|
|~ Rukh's last words|
Rukh was a minor antagonist throughout most of The Thrawn Trilogy. As described in Heir to the Empire, Rukh was the personal bodyguard of Grand Admiral Thrawn. A Noghri assassin, Rukh was considered creepy by human standards, particularly Captain Gilad Pellaeon, Thrawn's second-in-command.
After the Empire's manipulation of the Noghri species was revealed, Rukh transformed from antagonist to protagonist. In retaliation, Rukh betrayed Thrawn and assassinated him, forcing Pellaeon to order a retreat. Before Rukh could escape the Chimaera, he was executed by Major Grodin Tierce for treason.
