The Root Monster is a plant that the Fruiter once summoned to fight First Squad. It is unknown if there are others like it.

The root monster seems to obey the Fruiter, possibly the guardian. The Fruiter summoned it by striking the ground with his staff. It has a long serpentine body, which opens at the end into something of a mouth. It chase the heroes and tries to swallow them. It also shoots spikes, jumpy tries to rope it. But the monster just shakes him off. Mr. No Hands can't even cut it because it's too thick. Ling Chung defeated it by making it swallow huge rocks, which hurt it and left it unable to move.
