Rictus Erectus is the secondary antagonist of Mad Max: Fury Road. He is the second son and heir of Immortan Joe. During the events of Mad Max: Fury Road, Rictus joins his father's party along with the War Boys to pursue and kill Imperator Furiosa.
He is portrayed by actor and former wrestler Nathan Jones.
Biography
When Imperator Furiosa detours the Citadel, Immortan Joe, Rictus and the War Boys pursue her in the desert, and almost suceeded until a sandstorm emerged. One of the War Boys, Nux held Max as his blood bag, which allowed the two to inadvertently escape with Furiosa, who has stolen breeders of Joe known as the Wives. When Angharad, one of the wives dies, Rictus and Joe are enraged that the male baby she had had no defects.
During the gigantic battle between The War Boys, his father, Mad Max, Furiousa and The Wives, Max fought with Erectus and Max ultimately becomes the victor in their violent fight. He is tricked into allowing Furiosa enter the Gigahorse, Joe's vehicle, which ultimately led him to his death. Nux, who is about to be attacked by Rictus sacrifices himself by destroying the Rig, blocking the canyon with vehicles and allowing Max, Furiosa, and the Wives to escape in Joe's vehicle. Rictus is killed in the process of Nux's sacrifice.
Appearance
Rictus is a an extremely large bald Herculean man. He wears an apparatus on his back with tubes connecting to his nose for breathing clean air. However, unlike his father he does not cover his mouth and jaw. He wears armor for trousers.
