Victoria: "What does it say on my royal crest, Admiral?"
Admiral: [looks up and reads] "I hate pirates... M'am."
Victoria: "Exactly...
Hate them. With their... idiotic shanties! And their ridiculous hats! And their endless, blasted roaring! I want them... sunk, Admiral! Scumpered, smashed, fed to the sharks! Do you hear me?! I HATE... PIRATES!!!"
~ Queen Victoria expressing her hatred of pirates.
Victoria: "You'll swing for this! CURSE YOU! And after you're done swinging, I'll chop your head off! I'll put it into a cannon and fire it into the sun!"
Pirate with a Scarf: "Does that mean he's not pardoned anymore?"
Queen Victoria: "
PARDONED?!?!?!" [Accidentally lets go of her ship's deflating balloon, which carries her away.] "YOU'LL BE OUTLAWED ACROSS THE GLOBE!!! THERE WILL BE A HIGHER PRICE ON YOUR HEAD THAN ANY PIRATE BEFORE YOU!!! THE WHOLE WORLD WILL KNOW YOUR NAME!!!"
~ Queen Victoria's last words, while vowing her barbaric rant on the Pirate Captain.

Queen Alexandrina Victoria Hanover, also simply known as Queen Victoria, is the main antagonist of Sony Pictures Animation's sixth and Aardman’s fifth feature film The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!.

She is the ruler/monarch of the British Empire and the head of the Church of England with a severe hatred of pirates. She was part of a secret world society in which they eat exotic animals that are endangered. As a member of the society, she planned to eat Polly the pet dodo bird of the Pirate Captain, but was foiled when the latter sinks her massive flagship the QV1. Queen Victoria is also the last British ruler from the house of Hanover due to her marriage to Prince Albert of the house of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

She was voiced by Imelda Staunton, who also played Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter film series, Angorra in The Snow Queen, and Mrs. Lovett in the 2012 West End adaption of Sweeney Todd.

History[]

Queen Alexandrina Elizabeth Christina Victoria is the queen of London and has a severe hatred of pirates. She revealed the reason behind her hatred; she believed that pirates are obsolete and also because of other ridiculous reasons. She was also the leader of a secret party of world leaders who join together every year to eat the rarest of creatures. When the Pirate Captain won Scientist of the Year, she arrived on her horse to meet him. She proceeded to congratulate him on his success, unaware of his true identity. When she asked him on where his dodo is, the Pirate Captain tells her that Polly is resting while hidden away and that he had let her out only for his performance during the award. When he tells Queen Victoria that he did this in case if "sinister forces" wants to make off with her, the queen buys this and reveals that she has a petting zoo where Polly will be safe.

During their conversation, Queen Victoria became suspicious of the Pirate Captain when he unknowingly said "There is nothing more to a pirate than his trusted dodo." When he eventually exposes his true identity by accident, she immediately has him executed. Queen Victoria then watches as the executioner was about to behead the Pirate Captain. However, when Charles Darwin reminds her that the only latter knows on where Polly is that she'll never know if he is dead, the queen immediately stops the execution at the last moment. After the Pirate Captain introduces himself, Queen Victoria proceeded to pardon him, which is considered treason back on Blood Island, the isle home of all pirates.

. Then, she also was seen capturing Polly (the last dodo bird) with the other world leaders to eat all the rarest animals on the QV1. She almost had beheaded Polly, but Mr. Bobo saves her to disrupt the meal. Then, the Pirate Captain and his crew have a confrontation with her to keep Polly alive, making her get stranded on an island.

Near the end of the film, the other rare animals decide to eat Queen Victoria. It is completely unknown if Queen Victoria was eaten alive by the rare animals or if she managed to make it to London in order to resume her mandate. Because of the Pirate Captain's action against her, he received a bounty of one hundred-thousand Doubons, which is the highest bounty for a pirate in the Seven Seas, effectively making him a most dangerous pirate alive and restoring his reputation among his peers. Consequently, this infamy makes his rival Black Bellamy to lose the title "pirate of the year".
