Peko Pekoyama is a supporting antagonist in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, serving as the main antagonist of Chapter 2. She was raised by the Kuzuryu clan and is fanatically devoted to Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, believing herself to be nothing but his tool.
She is voiced by Janice Kawayne in Danganropa 2 and Clarine Harp in Danganronpa 3 in the English Dub. She is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi in the Japanese dub.
History[]
During Chapter 2, Peko murders Mahiru Koizumi, and sets Hiyoko up as the culprit. She believes that since she is a tool Fuyuhiko was the main culprit, and Peko, along with everyone else, would be executed while Fuyuhiko would be the sole survivor. Unfortunately for Peko, Monokuma does not see that way and she is executed by being viciously stabbed to death, but not before accidentally wounding Fuyuhiko and giving her life to protect him. It is later revealed that they are all in a virtual world known as the Neo World Program, and Peko’s real body is currently comatose with it being unlikely she will ever come out of her coma.
Peko returns in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy where she is a protagonist in Side Despair, and ultimately brainwashed by Junko Enoshima. She is briefly seen as a member of Ultimate Despair in Side: Future where she is seen to still be close with Fuyuhiko, and battling Kyosuke Munakata of the Future Foundation.
Peko also appears in Side: Hope where she awakens from her coma after the events of Danganronpa 2 against the members of the Future Foundation that wanted to brainwash the world into becoming hope filled zombies. She and her friends convince their former classmate Ryota Mitarai into joining them on their return to ton Jabberwock Island and they claim responsibility for the killing game, initiated by Kazuo Tengan.
