Land Octoroks often appear as round, red creatures with smooth skin, four tentacles, white-colored marks surrounding the eyes like a mask and a prominent snout used to fire rocks. River octoroks are purple squid-like creatures with cylindrical snouts, and yellow, glowing eyes.
Octoroks fight by shooting rocks out of their snouts at passersby. Land octoroks can be easily defeated with any weapon. River ones will hide underneath the water until their prey comes close enough to them. However, if their prey gets too close, they will retreat back under the water.
