Noburo Mori is the quinary antagonist of the 2013 film The Wolverine. He is the Minister of Justice in Japan who, unbeknownst to anyone is corrupt. Mori is also the former fiancé of Mariko Yashida and partner of her father Shingen. Mori is portrayed by Brian Tee, who also portrayed DK Takashi in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and will portray The Shredder in the upcoming 2016 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
His marriage to Mariko was arranged by her father Shingen so that he could have better access to politics in Japan. However, once Mariko revived her supposedly late grandfather's company in the will, Noburo feared she would call off the engagement. To make sure that Shingen receives his father's company and that Mariko does marry Mori, they both hire Yakuza gangsters to kidnap Mariko at IchIrō's funeral, but Logan was able to save her. After the Yakuza thugs managed to capture Mariko, Mori celebrated in his apartment with prostitutes. However, Logan and Yukio arrived and Logan forces Mori to tell him where Mariko is. After Mori tells Logan that her father has Mariko and is planning to kill her, Logan throws off his apartment's balcony, but Mori survives by landing into a swimming pool. It is unknown what happens to him after that.
