Lt. Mitch Kellaway is a police officer who is both the recurring character and antagonist of The Mask comic book series and its both film adaption and cartoon series of the same name. He is the secondary antagonist of the film.
He was portrayed by Peter Riegert and voiced by Neil Ross in The Mask: The Animated Series.
Despite being a cop, he thinks The Mask is an illegal vigilante and tries to arrest The Mask and uncover his identity. He also considers The Mask a criminal. There were even times when Kellaway attempts to arrest. The Mask after the latter saves the day and/or trying to. As the series progresses, he begins to develop tolerance for The Mask and considers him a hero. Kellaway is usually stern and hard-working. He also gets angry whenever Doyle makes obvious remarks such as in the first episode of the series.
- Kellaway is portrayed younger in the animated series, while in the live action movie, is portrayed as a middle age man.
