Miraz is the main antagonist of C.S. Lewis's Narnia book Prince Caspian, as well as of the Disney movie based on the book.
In the movie, he is portrayed by Sergio Castellitto.
Miraz was the brother of the King Caspian the 9th and the uncle of Caspian the 10th. Miraz hated his brother and murdered him so that he himself could become king. He planned on killing his nephew Caspian only after he himself had an heir. When Miraz's wife Prunaprismia had a son, Miraz ordered his soldiers to kill Caspian, but he escaped. Miraz hated all Narnians and sought to wipe them out with his armies. He lead several attacks against them, and ultimately it led to a duel between himself and the High King Peter. The duel was, however, instigated by two of Miraz's treacherous counselors, the lords Sospespian and Glozelle. They dueled, and eventually Peter wounded Miraz. The Telmarine army, thinking him dead, attacked the Narnians, and the treacherous lords seized their opportunity and subtly murdered Miraz.
