  • Inferno a little clarification? Are villains who not evil, but are forced to help other villains do evil things count? I ask because of this character. I've watched the show and I've seen that Nooroo's not naturally evil, he's just forced to help Hawk Moth because he's holds his miraculous. Darkclaw3 say "I think he should stay. He's not entirely evil, he just helps an evil man do evil things".

    • depends on the context - if they freely serve a villain they are a villain themselves, just like if you help a criminal you are guilty of their crimes by default.. let's say you are an innocent person but you help a murderer by not reporting crimes to police or covering up their murders you are as guilty as the murderer.

if someone is a slave or threatened with death / severe punishment and doesn't wish to aid a villain they are a victim.

if you know someone is evil yet do nothing to oppose their evil you are guilty of their crimes too.. only slaves are exempt, since they have no choice in whom they serve and are victims.

    • Well Nooroo had no choice being how Hawk Moth held his miraculous (counts as a slave), but he doesn't warn the good guys and he's not threatened with death (makes him guilty). Something like that?

    • Well, you're right in saying he's not naturally evil, since he is more or less doesn't have much of a choice in helping Hawk Moth, and doesn't want his powers to be used for evil. Still, its shown in both "The Collector" and "Gorizilla" that he doesn't have much of a problem with taking orders, even greeting Hawk Moth somewhat warmly in the former, even after he'd been temporarily renounced. But, then again, in "Syren" he went back to being afraid and more slave-ish than he'd been previously, so I don't really know how he truly feels at this point.

I added Nooroo because I thought he fit the "Villain by Proxy" archetype fairly well, considering how, again, he helps out Hawk Moth despite not truly wanting to, and how his relationship with him shifted to having more consent, even with all the stuff Hawk Moth does. We've included characters like Nooroo on this wikia prior to this (Santiago is a good example), so I didn't see why he couldn't be included too. No one's really challenged me on this before, but if its decided that Nooroo doesn't fit the mold, I don't have much of a problem with that.

    • if he has free will but serves anyway he counts, if he has no choice he is no more a villain than when Genie aided Jafar in taking over Agrabah, Genie had no choice in the matter.. if he had the ability to deny a villain's bidding yet did it anyway he is guilty of co-operation in their crimes.

  • Since there is now the villains and heroes wiki, Will there ever be a neutrality and gray zone wiki anytime in the far future for neutral characters like Beerus, Grand Zeno, Squidward Tentacles, etc? Because to be honest though, characters of the grey zone wouldn't truly fit the heroes nor the villains wikis, nor even the categories related to neutrality. At least for the sake of categorization purposes.

  • I have an idea. Since most villains have a lot of quotes, why don't we give the quotes their own page?

  • I am a new user to this wiki and I was told new users are allowed one edit per day as the wiki's policy.

how long do I have to wait or how many more articles do I have to edit before I am taken off my newbie status?

  • I have serious concerns about the Pure Evil category. Whenever someone sets down someone is Pure Evil there is little validation made of it compared to others. When attempting to distinguish where the line lies they conversation is shut down in the Pure Evil Thread, "because I say" being the last sort of sentiment. If I question further I suspect I will be removed, so I will give up trying to follow that thread. But as for practical purposes I still need clarification. As the category has been incredibly abused, I wanted to know where you consider the line so I can patrol for abuse when I see it.

    • I'd say speak with Austin about your concerns on Pure Evil as he is the admin with most investment on the subject, I don't really deal with the category much so have no real opinions - I'd definitely say Austin is the Pure Evil policy maker, so to speak, on the wiki so he's the one most qualified to aid in your questions.

  • Hi Inferno, I need to speak to you about a deletion of two character pages that were taken down by Magma MK-II for the reason of "fanfiction". Before I explain the issue at hand, I should mention that this went on about two weeks ago, originally I planned to let this go as there seemed to be no reasoning with him and there was no point in fighting it seeing as he seemed to be the highest admin on this wikia, as when I looked through the admin list his name was at the top, and seeing that it wasn't alphabetical, my guess was that it's by position (apologies if I am wrong). However DarkUnknownWarrior recently stepped into the conversation and convinced me into fighting this claim.

So what happened was, I had created a page on Randy Hayden, a character from the Jeff the Killer 2015 remake creepypasta. However, hours later, he deleted the page for the false reason of "fanfiction", obviously that was untrue, so I went onto his page and left him a message explaining that it wasn't a fanmade character and that there are already other character pages that are under the same origination already on this wikia, after doing so I reuploaded the page having already explained to him my reasonable and justifiable actions. Several hours later though he replied, barely acknowledging what I said to him and even mocked me in the process and once again deleted the page.

Literally not knowing what to do, I asked him how that character was violating this wiki's QS, and he responded saying that "All fanfiction and original web content have to follow the "must have a Know Your Meme entry" rule". So I looked in the rules and nowhere does it say that all characters need to have a know your meme page dedicated to them in order to be approved on this wiki, all it says is that the character has to be well known enough on the wikia, and besides, I have seen quite a lot of characters on this wiki that do not have a know your meme page. So I confronted him about this, and even mentioned to him that we already have a character from the same story on this wiki; Jeff the Killer (the 2015 version), he then responded, contradicting what he said before by changing the reason to instead having to have atleast over 500k views (a rule that clearly does not exist), and in order to prove his point, he went as far as to delete the Jeff the Killer page that had already been on this wikia for weeks and editted by other admins INCLUDING him.

After all that, I just left it as it was as there was clearly no reasoning with him in the situation. However today, DarkUnknownWarrior stepped into the convo and encouraged me to bring this up to B1bl1kal, who is unfortunately busy right now, so instead I've had to bring this up to another admin, which is you.

What do you think? Should the pages be restored? And what do you think about Magma's reasons of taking the pages down?
