Mark King
Mark King is the hidden main antagonist in the 2014 romantic comedy film The Other Woman.
He is portrayed by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who also plays Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones.
Overview
At the beginning of the film, Mark is dating a woman named Carly Whittle, who happens to be a successful attorney. On the day that he is supposed to meet her father, he cancels at the last minute, saying that a pipe burst in his Connecticut home, so Carly goes to Connecticut to surprise him. When she arrives there, however, she discovers that he's married as his wife, Kate, answers the door. The two ladies then join forces to get revenge on Mark and discover that he is dating another woman, a young blonde bimbo named Amber, and recruit her to their plan. The trio pull various pranks on Mark (including, but not limited to, spiking his smoothies with estrogen pills). During their pranks, the ladies discover that Mark is not only dating yet another woman, but he has also been embezzling money from the companies that he owns and sending it to various offshore bank accounts; to make matters worse, he framed Kate as the owner of the companies, so if his crimes were ever exposed, Kate would take the fall. Mark is then lured into Carly's office, where the women confront him about his crimes and infidelity, and also reveal that they have returned the money to the companies, so Mark is now bankrupt, and Kate divorces him. In addition, Mark's business partner, Nick, fires him after discovering his crimes. An utterly humiliated Mark throws a huge tantrum and laments about how he lost everything, only to be punched in the face by Carly's father.

- They were introduced as love interests for the protagonist, their antagonism isn't revealed until the climax, and there is no hint at their antagonism before then. They also used the protagonist to advance their goals, only to be foiled in the end.
- They are also attractive and successful characters.
