HU HU HU HU HU HU! It would only be polite to introduce ourselves. Makuin of the Blob, at your service. We're the venerable leaders of the Yuumajuu!
~ Makuin of the Blob's first words when he and Kinggon confronted the Goseigers when they confronted Tomarezu.
Curse you all!
~ Makuin of the Blob's final words before his death.

Makuin of the Blob is the leader of the Yuumajuu and the secondary antagonist of Tensou Sentai Goseiger. He ssrves as the main antagonist of the second arc of the Goseigers and serves as the Goseigers's archenemy during the second quarter of the season. He is also the master and boss of the Kinggon and the temporary master of Buredoran. He seeks to reform the world into a place for his kind to flourish in and takes delight in human suffering.

He is voiced by Chafurin who previously voiced Bucrates and later voiced Wilson.

History[]

Past[]

Ages ago, Makuin and Kinggon terrorized the world until they were sealed in the Erurei Box by the Gosei Angel that would become Brajira of the Messiah.

Goseiger[]

In present day, the Erurei Box was unintentionally unearthed by Dereputa of the Meteor, allowing Brajira released Makuin and Kinggon to wreck havoc, since the Universal Annihilation Army Warstar have been wiped out. Makuin and Kinggon soon discovered that the pollution that modern day humans made has gave the two a power boost. With it, they were able to overpower the Goseigers until Gosei Knight's arrived and forced the two Yuumajuu to fall back, before meeting Brajira in his Buredoran of the Chupacabra guise.

Makuin later personally went to recruit Uobouzu of the Nessie at his lake to steal human shadows but he was destroyed.

After the failure of 6 schemes and imprisoning Buredoran for going behind his back and indirectly causing the Goseigers to gain their Super Mode from the Abare Headder, Makuin decided to deal with this predicament with a new scheme.

Sending Sarawareteiru of the Fairy to Moune disguised as her mother, Makuin intended to lure her into a trap disguised as the portal back home. Makuin personally fought the other Goseigers to keep up the charade but is forced to retreat when both Moune and Gosei Knight foiled the deception and destroyed her.

Makuin ended up being used by Buredoran who intended to split up and later reseal him and Kinggon along with the Goseigers. He didn't listen to his proposal to replace Kinggon at first and instead let his old friend, Pikarime of the Shakōkidogū, help him in a new scheme. He changed his mind when Pikarime was killed and Buredoran saved him from the Miracle Gosei Dynamic. However, he secretly finded out and, after he reconciled with Kinggon, ended up playing him and leading him to his supposed death at the hands of Ground Gosei Great.

Makuin later initiated phase one of the Yuumajuu's final plan, Makuin tests the Erurei Box's true power on Elmgaim of the Baku. Though he fails, and leaves the Yuumajuu with no further minions to use, the two leaders plan to spread Makuin's mold all over the city. After they were confronted by the Goseigers, they ended up gaining the upper hand until Gosei Knight temporarily froze the mold. After his Yumma Buster formation was disabled for good, Makuin was enlarged by the Bibi Bugs and overpowered Gosei Great where after a failed attempt to trick them into thinking humanity is iredeemable (with help from Nozomu Amachi), he was weakened by Mystic Gosei Great and apparently destroyed by Ground Gosei Great. Though he was apparently destroyed by Ground Gosei Great soon after. However, Makuin intended for his apparent demise to absorb the full brunt of Super Gosei Power before his remains are transferred into the Erurei Box to regenerate and create the Yuuma Hole to destroy the Earth.

However, that was only the first phase as Makuin intended for his apparent demise to absorb the full brunt of Super Gosei Power before his remains are transferred into the Erurei Box to regenerate and create the Yuuma Hole (幽魔ホール Yūma Hōru) to destroy the Earth. After Kinggon enlarged the box and placed on top of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, allowing Makuin to begin the final phase of their plan: absorbing the entire Earth, until it's nothing but a giant Makuin. But the Goseigers traveled inside and after overcoming his illusions they reach his core in the Yuuma Hole. However, Makuin tried one last chance at killing them by wrapping his tentacles around them. Goseigers broke free from it to become Super Goseigers and then they use the Miracle Gosei Dynamic to destroy him forever.

Legacy[]

Despite his death, the Goseigers were still stuck inside the Eurei Box as the inside faded out and would've been trapped there if not for Master Head's sacrifice to bring them Tensou Henkei Gosei Ultimate. Makuin's death shocked and angers Kinggon who grew himself in an attempt to avenge him, to no avail and the Yuumajuu become extinct.

Makuin's spirit later appears to Brajira in a futile attempt to attack him and stop his from destroying the Earth with the Nega End alongside Mons Drake Kinggon, and Robogog of the 10-sai before being cast away.

Personality[]

Being born of and powered by the Earth's pollution, Makuin relished in subjecting the human population to a rule under his Yuumajuu kind. Despite leading the Yuumajuu, he showed great respect and care towards his kind and treated both Kinggon and their monsters like equals more than servants. The only member he had no problem mistreating is Buredoran who acted on his own to the point of recklessness and ended up manipulating and turning on him. He was not only friends with his right hand Kinggon but also Pikarime and was friendly with Uobouzu. He was also smart as he was able to discover Buredoran's treachery and successfully takes action against him before he could betray him as well as made sure to test and perfect his final plan. He once tried to break the Goseigers by reminding them of all of the humans negativity but to no avail.

Powers and Abilities[]

Makuin is one of the most powerful Yuumajuu beasts and, from the start, wields enough ability to stand up to the Goseigers. After being empowered by the Eurei Box, he became even more formidable an enemy to them, exceeding Dereputa and about as strong as Buredoran's mutant form, up until the latter was mechanized near the end of the series.

Here's the full list of Makuin's abilities:

  • Strength: Makuin was one of the strongest Yuumajuu beasts, being able to fight and overpower the Goseigers with ease.
  • Energy Absorption and Redirection: Makuin of the Blob could absorb energy from the Goseigers' weapons and send it back at them.
  • Aurora Empowerment: Makuin of the Blob could draw power from the Eurei Box to raise his power.
  • Indestructability: Makuin of the Blob was virtually unkillable. Even the Gosei Buster's Gosei Dynamic Ultra Power Dynamic Strike just splattered him across the city and most of him was able to survive within the Eurei Box.
  • Teleportation: Makuin of the Blob could vanish at will in a cloud of toxic fog.
  • Levitation: Makuin of the Blobwas able to levitate upside down.
  • Toxin Generation: Since his own body is made of slime, Makuin of the Blob could poison all life by mass producing noxious purple fumes and scattering them, with deadly health effects to all those who come in contact with it except for his own race.
  • Aurora Box Fusion-When he combined with the Eurei Box, Makuin of the Blob became far more powerful and gained many new abilities.
  • Adhesion: When empowered by the Eurei Box, Makuin of the Blob toxin became extremely sticky.
  • Sludge Form: Makuin of the Blob was able to emerge from the Eurei Box as a massive purple sludge.
  • Slime Spread: Makuin of the Blob could spread his entire slime-like body all over the world.
  • Steam Blasts: In the Eurei Box, Makuin of the Blob was able to release blasts of white steam from his hands.
  • Tentacles: In the Eurei Box, Makuin of the Blob was able to release tentacles from his body to wrap up his opponents.
  • Energy Drain: Makuin of the Blob could also drain his opponents' energy with his tentacles to make himself stronger.
  • Flexibility: Makuin of the Blob could easily avert damage by rubbering hits off.
  • Sliding: Makuin of the Blob could slide around the battlefield by turning into a purple energy blob.

Arsenal[]

  • Dorodorod ((泥ドロッド Dorodoroddo): Makuin of the Blob carried around a massive double-ended staff to utilize in combat.
  • Dorodorod Batons-Makuin of the Blob could seperate his Dorodorod into wo smaller canes to fight multiple enemies.
  • Staff Blast: Makuin of the Blob could release violet energy blasts from his staff.
  • Fireball: By using his staffs with Kinggon's club, Makuin of the Blob could collectively launch a mighty purple-hued flaming orb at the enemies by combining their energy.
  • Toxin Infusion: Makuin of the Blob's staff was able to infuse the Eurei with toxic slime which came in the form of purple lightning.
  • Yuuma Dynamic (幽魔ダイナミック Yūma Dainamikku)-The Yuumajuu's most powerful attackf of all where Makuin of the Blob would yell out "Shimmering Yuumatick Power!" and turn himself into cannon by positioning himself backward with his mandibles pointed forward and spread his arms while holding on to his Dorodorod(baton mode). He would then shoot a powerful energy orb from his mandible that easily took down the Goseigers.

Weaknesses[]

  • Core-Although almost unkilable, Makuin of the Blob could be killed if his core was attacked and destroyed.
  • Obliteration-Although attacking Makuin of the Blob would just spread his ooze, obliterating him would prevent this and make his spread ooze disappear.

Trivia[]

  • He is named after The Blob, (titled "Mcqueen's Abolute Crisis" in Japan) with his name including the kanji for "membrane" and his animal motif being an earthworm.
  • Unlike Kinggon, Makuin appeared only in his own series and not in any crossovers.
