Lieutenant Hardt is a minor villain appearing in The Rat Patrol.
Biography
Hardt was an Afrika Korps officer serving under Major von Brugge. Disguised as an American mechanic, he helped Leutnant Koenig capture Sam Troy's brother Captain David Troy, however in the process he was knocked out and left behind by his fellow Germans on purpose. Captured by the Rat Patrol, he was forced to lead them to von Brugge (all part of the Major's plan). In the minefield, he turned on his captors and attacked Troy, and was shot by Hitchcock.
