Jonathan "Johnny" White is a wrathful crime lord and the first of many archenemies of James Cook. He appears as a supporting antagonist in Season 3 of Skins.
He was portrayed by Mackenzie Crook, who also portrayed Rageeti in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Biography[]
Johnny first appeared in the second episode of season three while celebrating his daughter's upcoming marriage to the son of the leader of a rival gang. However the party gets ruined by James Cook enraging Johnny, but it wasn't only that, since in one moment a number of members of the rival gang revealed (or probably joking) that they had sex with his daughter, that cause Johnny go against them causing a fight and presumably the truce broke.
He later appeared in the same episode pleasuring himself by getting whipped and tied to a brothel. Cook walks in finding the situation hilarious until Johnny taunts Cook by mocking his mother, causing Cook to torture him by electrocuting him whilst attached to a brothel, he almost kills Johnny but is stopped by JJ Jones.
In his next appearance, he tasks Thomas into selling drugs for him at an (literal) underground party. However Thomas hands out the drugs for free enraging Johnny leading to a confrontation between the two. Thomas then challenges Johnny to a chili eating contest. The contest ends with Johnny leaving humiliated after soiling himself after eating an incredibly spicy chilli.
Johnny made no later appearances in the show although he was most likely he left Thomas and his friends alone regarding the contest.
Personality[]
Johnny appeared as a rather wrathful and arrogant man who appeared far too overconfident in his strength. His primary hobby was doing extreme food challenges shown when he drink an entire "King Bombay Badboy Pot Noodle" under 30 seconds, this hobby however would eventually cause his defeat after outdoing himself in a chilli contest with Thomas.
Trivia[]
- He often compared to Francis Begbie from Trainspotting and some even suggest that Begbie was inspiration for Johnny's character, however this remains unconfirmed.
