John Carlyle (better known as Carlyle) is the tertiary antagonist of the sci-fi action movie, Elysium.
He is portrayed by William Fichter, who also portrayed Alexander Mahone, Eric Sacks, Bank Manager, Roger Van Zant and Butch Cavendish.
History
As the CEO of Armadyne, he makes a program to override Elysium's computer to give Jessica Delacourt the presidency. He also stores the program in his own brain, with the intention to transport to Elysiun. While he was going to Elysium, Max da Costa shoots his ship with a explosive bullet, making it crash. In the middle of a gunfight between Max / Criminals and the Droids, he gets shot in the chest and dies, but allows Max to hack his brain and pick the data before Agent Kruger appears.
