|“||Yes. That young lady's terrorist assault at Euride Gorge is the reason Dajh was made a l'Cie. Ironic, isn't it? The very girl you're protecting... is the one who stole your son.||„|
|~ Jihl to Sazh about Vanille|
Appearing in Sazh Katzroy's flashbacks of events prior to Bodhum being Purged, Nabbat took his son, Dajh, to be tested to find out his focus as a Cocoon l'Cie. Appearing in Nautulis, using Dajh as he fulfilled his Focus, Nabbat she reveals to Sazh the role that Vanille played in Dajh to study his attempt to kill her. When Sazh fails to do so, or take his own life, Nabbat captures him and Vanille to take the Palamecia while adding salt to the former's wound by telling him how they will erect a monument to Dajh. While Lighting and the other Pulse l'Cie board the Palamecia, Nabbat slowly loses control of the situation before the intruders arrive to the command center. Though intending to cover Galenth Dysley's escape, Nabbat finds herself killed by what the l'Cie learn to be fal'Cie in human form.
Despite her death, Nabbat's spirit lingered and ended up as a combatant in the Coliseum in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
