Hey there, Juggies, It's your old pal McJuggerNuggets here!
~ Jesse's catchphrase at the start of his vlogs.
That's what you f-cking say...? That's the last thing you say to me...? Is that the video games made me this way? The games? No, dad... It was you... you... YOU MADE ME THIS WAY!!! YOU MADE ME THIS WAY!!!
~ Psycho Kid's Breakdown towards Psycho Dad.

Jesse Tyler Ridgway, aka Psycho Kid (born September 29, 1992) is the titular main protagonist of the YouTube series The Psycho Series, the graphic novel Psycho-Kid vs. Psycho-Dad, the sequel to the Psycho Series and The Devil Inside Series. Despite being the main protagonist, he commits many questionable actions throughout the course of the series.

He was portrayed by Jesse Ridgway who also portrayed The Devil and Isaac Kalder.

History[]

He is the younger brother of Jeffrey Ridgway Jr. and the youngest son of Jeffrey Ridgway Sr. and Theresa Ridgway.

Jesse has a gaming addiction, which causes him to be in constant conflict with his father, who does not like the way Jesse wastes his time and doesn't come out of his room. While Jesse is living under his roof, Jeff Sr. wants him to get out of the house and find what he considers to be a real job. Jesse, who wants to pursue YouTube as a career, wants nothing to do with his father's opinions, whereas Jeff Sr. doesn't respect YouTube. Jeff Sr. and Jesse constantly fight over this issue, smashing each other's possessions and getting into shouting matches. Both, as well as Jesse's brother, Jeffrey Jr., have hot tempers and destructive tendencies, though Jeffrey Jr. seems to grow out of this and mature a lot over the course of the Psycho Series.

Jesse and his brother Jeffrey constantly provoke, prank, and mess with each other, much to their parents' annoyance, and the pranks get very serious, with Jesse even ruining his brother's motorcycle and the two shooting fireworks at each other on different occasions. Eventually, Jesse's feud with Jeffrey becomes worse to the point where he smashes Jeffrey over the head (and knocks him out) with a beer bottle to stop him from attacking Corn, Jesse's cameraman and best friend. This leads to Jeff Sr. smashing items in his gaming room, as well as his car window. After this, Jesse's mom divorces his dad and moves first to her brother's house, and then her friend Melissa's.

Later, Jesse ends up making amends with Jeffrey, but ends up cutting ties with his mother after Melissa corrupts her. His relationship with his dad also becomes worse after the latter makes him work with his equally abusive brother Chris on a farm after Jesse failed to get a job his father considered acceptable.

In the end of the series, Jesse could not take it anymore, and he decided he will kill his dad.

In the final episode Jesse comes in their house, speaking to the father for the last time which escalated in Jesse shooting him with a pistol. He ends up ruining his newfound bond with Jeffrey in the progress for not only killing their father, but forcing him at gunpoint to film the entire thing.

After this, Jesse ran out of his home driving his car to escape the murder-case.

Personality[]

Psycho Kid is a spoiled, lazy, entitled undergraduate who has a powerful love for his video games; this is a core source of most of the Psycho videos, leading to either destruction, harm, or a conflict about his video games. Just like his brother and father, he has some serious anger issues and is prone to violent fits of rage and overreactions when things don’t go his way. He often solves his problems by lashing out on others and destroying items, despite him resenting his father for doing the same.

Jesse often claims that he is “only reactionary” as an excuse for his behavior or to act like he never instigates or contributes to his family problems. While he is indeed provoked without cause on many occasions, he tends to respond by getting revenge and doing much worse than what was originally done to him. And, despite him repeatedly claiming he doesn’t start anything, we see him instigate arguments and pranks against his father, brother and even uncle without provocation many times.

Jesse gets kicked out of his parents' house after he smashed trophies awarded to his father and Uncle Larry when they were children. Jesse stays in a tent for some time before going to his friend’s house, then up to Pennsylvania to his girlfriend’s place, and then down to his Uncle Larry’s place. Here, Jesse shows his entitled nature though a tendency to freeload and take items from his Uncle without asking. He even hides all Larry’s beers as a prank and then lies to him about it. This leads to Larry chewing him out and the two eventually making amends. Jesse is relentlessly attacked by his brother during this time; Jeffrey comes and tries to paintball Larry’s tent that Jesse is staying in (but Jesse and Larry ambush him), writes on Larry’s RV, smashes more of their father’s trophies and tries to blame it on Jesse, and then he comes and steals Larry’s trailer and drives it to the Ridgway Residence with Jesse inside. Their father retaliates by smashing Jeffrey’s camera and allowing Jesse back in the house if he pays rent and helps him with his lawn business for free. Jesse agrees to these terms, but repeatedly goes back on his word, showing up late to the job (or skipping town without telling his father). He then complains and bickers with his father when his father adds expenses to his rent bills because he didn’t help keep his end of the bargain (and thus his father had to cover for him at work because he didn’t show up), and because he never set up a contract with his father to get a steady rent rate. In other words, Jesse often fails to think through the long-term ramifications of what he does. Jesse exhibits a lot of laziness and lack of respect for his dad, spending a lot of time complaining and bickering with his dad over every little thing, instead of putting effort in to improve their relationship. Gradually, Jesse and his brother become hellbent on revenge and pranking each other, with Jesse drawing his uncle Larry into it and even manipulating his cousin Tom and his parents to get involved. He also repeatedly lies to his family to cover up the pranks he plans to pull on his brother, leading to his second exile from the house.

We see Jesse go through a serious bout of mono and strep throat right after his family goes on a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. While the illness is quite real, Jesse seems to milk it for what it’s worth some of the time even months afterward, using his hurt spleen as an excuse to not do any work or lift a finger to help his family, or anyone else for that matter.

Jesse is somewhat entitled and selfish regarding his viewers, claiming that his brother shouldn’t be able to sell shirts in their parents’ shop, because he “wouldn’t have his audience if it wasn’t for me.” He even goes and raises hell at the shop, yelling at his mother and Uncle Larry that he doesn’t want them selling his brother’s shirts. Although his brother Jeffrey can indeed be manipulative and instigative a lot, Jesse becomes overly paranoid and self-aware at times and thinks that everything Jeffrey (or his father for that matter) does is targeted towards him. He often accuses his father of treating him badly while favoring his older son, which is a valid argument. The disagreement over their viewers becomes a major source of conflict that continually reappears between Jesse and his brother, each arguing that the other only has their audience because of him.

When Jesse stays at Uncle Larry’s a second time, he lies to his cousin Tom and drags him along in a prank against Jeffrey. When Larry finds out, he explains that he is upset about it and asks Jesse if he can find another place to stay because of the wedge being driven between family members. Jesse, instead of admitting his wrong, just argues and tries to blame others for his mistake or make excuses, trying to say that it was good to get Tom out of the house and that Jeffrey deserved it. Larry says he doesn’t want Tom involved with the drama, but Jesse says it doesn’t matter since Jeffrey will know it was him anyway. He then plays the victim card, claiming that he is being kicked out by his uncle and walks out, leaving food in his uncle’s kitchen and a bunch of fan mail strewn about the trailer, which he claims he didn’t pick up because his spleen was hurting. He mocks his uncle as he goes, and still doesn’t admit that he did anything wrong. It takes him a few days to even recognize some of his mistakes.

Despite the immaturity and his tendency to overreact, when Jesse was slapped by Aunt Melissa in A SLAP IN THE FACE!, he handled the situation in a surprisingly mature manner, not retaliating, but instead leaving. This shows that he can show restraint when needed. Then again, given that he chewed out his dad for manhandling Meilssa, it's possible that he did not feel comfortable hitting or verbally attacking a woman.

Jesse has a tendency to lie and manipulate situations, something which his father calls him out on often. He lies to his father constantly, lies to his mother multiple times, and, as mentioned before, he also lies to his cousin, lies to his boss at the farm he works at, and, when he is on the job, he repeatedly tries to get other people to do his work for him. Overtime, Jesse's father loses trust in his son, and he eventually becomes excessively controlling of him. While Jeff Sr. gets extreme about controlling his son, it is obvious that Jesse could have avoided this situation by either moving out, or simply being honest with his father and trying to cooperate with him even a little bit. It is obvious, by the way that his dad reacts in I GOT A JOB PRANK!, that if Jesse put a little effort out there to comply with his dad's desire for him to get a job, it could make a huge difference and they would get along so much better. The way Jesse trashes his father online, calling him a psychopath and using all sorts of derogatory language against him, as well as the lies and manipulation, constantly works to push Jeff Sr. over the edge.

According to Jeffrey, Jesse has a very rebellious side of him and has issues with authority figures (which he admits but states he only has a problem if it's unjustified) as he is very disrespectful towards his father and is hesitant to do things for him. This is likely caused from his father smashing his belongings which has cause him to to hold almost zero respect for his father (even though Jesse destroys a large number of his father's possessions as well). That said, judging from how he sometimes disrespects his mother, Jesse does have a hard time obeying others.

Nearing the end of the series, Jesse was finding it difficult to distinguish reality from fantasy, talking and arguing with an inanimate object which he called Demma and having violent mental breakdowns when residing in the former fan mail room he was forced to record videos in, this was the final straw and ultimately caused his fathers demise.

Jesse essentially became what he had written on the walls of the former fan mail room, and what he called his own father plenty of times: a psychopath. The fact that he shot his father and almost shot his brother cements this.

Villainous Acts[]

  • He constantly shows disrespect to his dad.
    • He calls his dad “psycho dad” constantly in a derogatory way over the course of the series.
    • He plays videogames on his dad’s TV, despite being told it was not allowed. This led to his father throwing his Xbox in the driveway.
    • He smashes his dad's TV after being caught playing with his friend Buzz's SP by his brother Jeffrey Jr. when he was grounded for two weeks until he found a job in Psycho Kid Smashes TV. He also told his dad that "he cared more about his TV then he did him."
    • He attempts to get revenge on his dad at the middle of the night for the chainsaw bloodbath prank by scaring him and Theresa (his mom) with the chainsaw while they were sleeping not knowing the blades were on, and leading to his dad destroying his Xbox One in Psycho Dad Chainsaws Xbox.
    • He throws a tantrum and ruins the Thanksgiving dinner by flipping the tables and throwing pies at his dad in Psycho Kid Ruins Thanksgiving. He also disrespected his entire family while saying grace and calls his family collective a "piece of shit."
    • He talks trash about his dad on Twitch Live, calling him a "big fat bitch" and other nasty things. His brother was filming and their dad watching, however, and it ultimately leads to Jesse's monitor being destroyed by his Dad in Psycho Dad Raids Stream. Later, Jeff Sr. replaced his monitor.
    • He attempts to physically attack his father after he destroyed his, Corn and Mark's laptops.
    • He smashes his dad's childhood baseball trophies as revenge for Jeff Sr. destroying his play button, which leads to his Wii U being grilled by his dad and getting kicked out of the house in Psycho Dad Grills Wii U. He also flips and destroys his dad's grill.
    • He makes Psycho Dad merchandise and sells it without telling his father, who, when he finds out, gets upset and buries Jesse's videogames.
    • He (with Uncle Larry’s help) drills a hole in the wall of the Ridgway Residence to run Ethernet to his room in the Morton Building, without asking permission from his father. When he catches them, Jeff Sr. forbids Jesse from getting internet out there, but Jesse runs it anyway behind his father’s back.
    • He and Uncle Larry install a deadbolt on his bedroom door (which involves drilling holes in the door). They do this without asking permission from Jeff Sr., who is upset when he finds out.
    • He uses his dad's electricity against his wishes while kicked out of the house, which leads to his tent being destroyed by his dad in his tractor in Psycho Dad Flattens Gaming Lair.
    • He steals his father's beers, hides them around the yard and makes his father hunt for them on Easter. He mocks his father the whole time, and Jeff Sr. ends up smashing the beers in anger.
    • He manipulates his father into digging a hole which he uses to prank Jeffrey Jr., which leads to his door being knocked down by Jeff Sr. and being exiled from the house again in Psycho Dad Busts Down Door.
    • He throws his birthday cake at his father and then breaks one of the houses' glass doors after his father destroyed his Wii U.
    • He brings his camera to Thanksgiving dinner at his dad's parents' house, even though his dad tells him not to. His dad has to throw him out of the house because he refuses to stop filming.
    • He asks disrespectful and obnoxious questions during a QnA with his father, to purposefully provoke him to anger.
    • He gets himself involved several times in the discussions between his parents, and films them, despite his father asking him to stop. Examples are DIAL M FOR MOTHER and HOMECOMING!. Jesse puts his oar in constantly to where Jeff Sr. can't have a normal conversation with his wife.
    • He brings his camera along when his dad goes to talk to his mom in a public place, even though his dad tells him (even begs him) to stay home. His desire to capture every aspect of his parents' relationship clearly crosses a line here, as he has zero respect for their privacy.
    • He flips his dad off on the latter's security cameras. When his dad confronts him about it, Jesse kicks and destroys his dad's TV.
    • He throws a handful of his father's stuff on the floor just to purposely anger him.
    • He, along with Jeff Jr. and Corn prank his dad by telling him he got a job which leads to the next day where his dad wood-chips his video games unless he gets a job which he finally agrees.
    • He constantly provokes his dad after the latter agrees to play videogames with him. He embarrasses his dad by repeatedly placing him with highly-skilled people in a Halo game so that his dad will get killed and annoyed and does more yelling and criticizing him than helping him, and eventually his father gets fed up and shoots Jesse's Xbox. While he wasn't intending to embarrass his father, he could've at least taught him before having him play from the start.
    • He again smashes and knocks over his dad's TV before running away from the house. This was after he quit the farm and his father destroyed his gaming room.
    • He ended up shooting his father in the second to last episode. Even after everything his father did to him, murdering him before stealing what remained of the $30,000 his father took from him was the worst thing he ever did.
  • He antagonizes his brother Jeffrey Jr. too and instigates pranks repeatedly.
    • He threatens and blackmails his brother after he puts the video of Jeff Sr. breaking Jesse’s Xbox onto YouTube. This leads to Jeffrey getting fed up and smashing Jesse’s camera as revenge.
    • He takes Jeffrey's laptop and shows his dad the Xbox destruction video with the hopes of getting him in trouble, which leads to his dad breaking the laptop. His dad has him show Jeffrey what he did, who chases Jesse down the road.
    • He replaces the chicken Jeffrey is cooking with a nasty alternative, ruining his brother’s dinner.
    • He pranks Jeffrey by making Corn push Jeffrey in the hole he made his father dig up in THE PITFALL PRANK! and even filled it up with water, almost drowning Jeffrey which leads to his second exile from the house.
    • He plastic wraps his brother’s car while kicked out of the house and cons Tom into helping him do it.
    • One of the worst things Jesse has done was when he was enraged that his brother painted his car pink, he made his friends Corn and Mark submerge Jeff Jr.'s motorcycle into a pit hole full of water (which Jesse used a hose for and the same hole he pranked Jeff Jr. with) completely damaging it in Psycho Kid Submerges Motorcycle which causes most of the Juggies to turn against him for a short time.
    • He holds up a sharp piece of wood up against Jeffrey’s neck, leading Jeffrey to force him out of the Morton Building.
    • He crosses the Moral Event Horizon as he lights fireworks in the family's garage and at Jeff Jr. (who tries to avoid the fireworks by putting his Batman cape over him), almost destroying it with gasoline and propane tanks inside which leads to his dad throwing a hissy fit by throwing tables and ruining the Halloween food and drinks and the party being canceled in Psycho Family Halloween.
    • He physically attacks his brother during the Halloween fight, leading Jeffrey to shove him to the ground.
    • He tells his father that Jeffrey installed a deadbolt on his door (when in reality he and Uncle Larry did it), to try and get Jeffrey in trouble. This leads Jeff to smash Jeffrey’s PS4 controller. The plan backfires when Jeff discovers that Jesse lied and chews him out.
    • He puts laxatives into his brother’s water jug. Jeffrey drinks it while working out and has a digestive blowout.
    • He physically attacks his brother after being repeatedly provoked during the events of Psycho Brother Stomps Glasses. This leads to Corn jumping on Jeffrey to try and protect his friend. Jesse then constantly twists the truth when describing this event, saying that his brother started the fight and attacked them first.
    • He smashes a Corona beer bottle over his brother's head in Psycho Brother Stomps Glasses, knocking him out, and then he locks him in a dog cage. He then threatens to smash Jeffrey Jr.'s playbutton if he tries anything after waking up. Jesse not only kept quiet about this event afterward and lied to his parents about what happened (telling them that nothing happened and then telling his mother that Jeffrey threatened to smash a bottle over Jesse's head), but he never confessed until his mom found out by chance when she saw a message from one of Jesse's friends. While this was technically self-defense, as he did it to save Corn from Jeffrey, this was still major overkill and he never showed remorse until his mother divorced his dad after witnessing his reaction.
    • He becomes very selfish about Jeffrey coming to Uncle Larry's house and thinks that he's trying to steal his attention and insults him, making Jeffrey leave in disappointment leaving Theresa and Uncle Larry to chew him out on his selfishness in BIGBRUDDA'S BULLSH*T.
    • Despite everything Jeffrey did for him after he redeemed himself, Jesse still threatened to shoot him if he didn't film him confronting his father. This is one of the reasons Jeffrey called the police after Jesse got what remained of the money from the safe.
  • Jesse is a liar and this is shown repeatedly over the course of the series. While he does lie for good reasons, many of these lies still get him into serious trouble.
    • He lies to his father and brother and sets up a gaming room in the Morton Building without permission. He lies to Jeffrey Jr.'s face and says he is working out in there and there's sweat everywhere, but Jeffrey goes in anyway and tells Jeff Sr. about Jesse's dishonesty.
    • He steals his Uncle Larry’s beers and hides them around the house as a joke. When Larry gets upset and confronts him about it, Jesse lies to him repeatedly and says he didn’t do it and tries to blame it on Tom. He uses the excuse that he doesn’t drink as a way to claim he would have no reason to steal the beers. Only at the last minute, when Larry is about to leave to confront Tom, does Jesse decide to come clean.
    • He lies to his mother about a canvas he got from Uncle Larry, saying that it was just for artwork, when it was actually to prank his brother.
    • He lies to his father in DEADBOLT DAD! and says that Jeffrey Jr. put a deadbolt on Jesse's door, when in reality he and Uncle Larry did it.
    • He lies to his father and takes Poopy John outside saying he is taking him to go to the bathroom / on a walk, when in reality he was taking him in the car to Uncle Larry’s to visit his mom.
    • He lies to his father about his brother's motorcycle when his father asks him where it is. First he claims Jeffrey Jr. took it to Louisiana, which Jeff Sr. refutes, and then he says he put it in a hole in the woods. When Jeff Sr. asks if the hole was full of water, Jesse once again lies and says it dried out. Jeff Sr. doesn't go verify this, so Jesse gets away with that part of the lie.
    • He lies to his cousin Tom that Uncle Larry asked them to pick up some supplies, and Tom thus drives him to Heritage's to get them. In reality, Jesse buys a ton of plastic wrap to cover Jeffrey Jr.'s car, and he manipulates Tom into helping him do it. Even when Uncle Larry confronts him later, Jesse shows no remorse for what he did, saying Jeffrey Jr. would know it was Jesse anyway, and defends himself repeatedly.
    • He lies to his mother and says that Jeffrey Jr. threatened to smash a bottle over Jesse's head, when in fact Jesse had done it to his brother and was covering it up. Jesse's mother finds out that Jesse lied from a message from Zach Dingler, who describes what happened in the video. Jesse lies to his mother even after this happened, saying that she "didn't read it right." This sparks an argument in which Jesse finally is forced to admit his wrong. Jesse then asks his mother to lie for him so his father doesn't find out.
    • He lies to his father and tries to cover up the conversation he was having with his mother about his and Jeffrey Jr.'s fight, by acting like he wanted to do a QnA with her.
    • He and Corn both lie when his father asks him where his Wii U is, saying that Corn borrowed it, when in fact it was in the room in the Morton building. Jesse lies over and over again until Jeff Sr. finds the Wii U, uncovering his lies, and says that he is going to put a security camera in Jesse's room because of his dishonesty.
    • He lies to his father about the small room in the basement, saying he put a bunch of his mother's stuff in it, when in fact it was packed full of fan mail. He gets caught when his father opens the door and discovers the mail.
    • He lies to Aunt Jackie when she asks him if he fell through the ceiling in her house (which her husband Chuck had seen and told her about). First, Jesse acts like he doesn't know what she's talking about. Then, he takes her into the room, and claims that the "hole" her husband was referring to was the gaps in the tiles that he and Uncle Larry had used to patch up the spot. Then, Jesse claims that Chuck lied about it and denies that he fell through the ceiling. He gets Uncle Larry to lie for him as well, and both claim that Chuck just came into the house cursing at them for no reason. Jesse then lies that Chuck was probably talking about the entrance to the attic. Finally, Jesse and Larry both lie and say that maybe Chuck is just trying to play a prank on Jackie. Eventually, he tells the truth, but he could have avoided a lot of awkwardness if he had just done this in the first place.
    • He lies to Uncle Chris (and his other bosses Anita and Nancy) several times at the Farm Job by saying he has to bring his camera along for a school project, when in fact it was just for YouTube videos.
    • He lies to Uncle Chris and Anita, saying that "red means stop" with regard to his camera recording light. He does this to mislead them into thinking he isn't filming them.
    • After caught lying about the camera being for a school project at the farm, Jesse lies again and acts like he's putting the camera in the car, but then sneaks it back on the job and keeps filming until Uncle Chris catches him in the act.
    • He leaves home to go to Aunt Melissa's to see his mom, and gets tailed by Jeff Sr. When confronted, Jesse lies to his father and says he and Corn were just on a joyride talking about girlfriends.
    • He lies on multiple occasions to several people that he shot and tackled a deer, avoiding the fact that it was a decoy.
    • He lies to Warrior at the nursery job by saying his camera is for school, which isn't true.
    • He lies to Warrior that he knows how to drive a tractor, when instead he should have admitted that he can't do it well.
    • He lies to Nancy and acts like things went fine at the nursery job, when in fact he was in deep trouble for having destroyed Warrior's truck. He admits it more clearly when she watches his videos depicting the situation.
    • He is dishonest at the Farm job when told to fill pots with dirt and put hangers on plant pots. He does the hangers, but another worker fills the dirt pots and Jesse takes the credit for both.
    • He lies to his bosses at the Paintball warehouse when he randomly put a box down in the path of machinery, first blaming another worker and then saying he has no idea what happened. Only when backed into a corner does Jesse admit that he lied and in fact he put it down because he didn't know what to do.
    • He lies to his father and says he was doing a skit throwing Santa hats when Jeff Sr. finds a Santa hat covering a security camera in the basement. Jesse was actually trying to get into his father's gun safe and tried to hide the fact that he was doing it.
    • He and Corn lie to his father when they go down to get him a beer and get distracted trying to break into the gun safe. When he comes to check on them, they pretend they had been playing foosball the whole time.
    • When Jeff Sr. confronts Jesse about camera footage of Uncle Larry and Jesse trying to break into his gun safe with a stethoscope, Jesse lies and says he has no idea what Jeff Sr. is talking about.
    • He lies to his father on Thanksgiving and states that he is going to Corn’s house, when in reality he and his brother are going to Uncle Larry’s, which their father said he’d rather they not do.
    • He lies to his father about his mother's whereabouts after she leaves Uncle Larry's, stating he has no idea where she is, when he actually does. Only when Jeff Sr. is leaving to go to Melissa's is Jesse forced to admit that he lied.
    • He lies to his mother while she’s at Uncle Larry’s telling her that his father promised to never come over again. This is his way of trying to get her to feel safe where she is instead of going to Aunt Melissa’s. Jesse eventually admits his lie to Uncle Larry, and his mom ends up going to Aunt Melissa’s anyway.
    • He lies to his father several times that he’s going to “get food” when in reality he’s going to see his mom.
    • When Jesse comes back to his father's house after being kicked out of Aunt Jackie's place by his mom, he lies to his father, saying that he couldn't afford the house, and that the world ate him up in a week. He ends up confessing the truth about what happened with his mom later.
    • He lies repeatedly and is misleading on his resume when doing a mock interview with Uncle Larry. While writing up the resume, he says, “You can lie on a resume, you just don’t get caught.”
    • He lies to his father after quitting the farm, hiding the fact that he did it and asking Uncle Chris to lie to Jeff Sr. for him, which the latter declines to do.
    • He lies to Aunt Melissa that Georgie brought him some food, when Jesse was actually stealing it.
    • He lies to Uncle Larry by saying Aunt Melissa called Jeff Sr. because she knew he would come to get his trailer, when in reality she called Jeff Sr. because Jesse refused to leave her property.
    • He lies to his father and says that he traveled for the weekend to visit his friend Mark, when in fact the main goal of the trip was to visit his girlfriend.
    • When his father asks him if he was the one who had been in the box in the living room and stolen his gun, Jesse lies and says he didn’t touch it and doesn’t have it.
    • He betrays Corn and lies to his father, saying that Corn uploaded all the videos showing their family drama onto the internet. He waits until the next day to right his wrong and admit the truth after many of his Juggies were harassing him.
  • He torches the Christmas Tree on Christmas Day just because he didn't get the Wii U he wanted which he did get when Theresa (his mom) showed it to him in the end which she hid behind Jeffrey Sr.'s back in Psycho Kid Torches Christmas Tree. He also disrespected Jeffrey when he tried talking him out of it. Finally, he showed no remorse and ran off when his dad rightfully chewed him out and tried to calm him down. This was after his father had already told him not to expect anything for Christmas after ruining the meal at Thanksgiving.
  • He throws a tantrum at a store after working too hard and getting humiliated by Jeffrey Jr. (who was filming) which leads to his "arrest" by a “cop” (played by Kenny, a friend of Jeffrey Sr.), which was revealed to be a prank set up by Jeff Sr. and Jeff Jr. to teach Jesse a lesson in Psycho Kid Gets Arrested.
  • He shows ungraditude on Christmas because his father didn’t get him a bunch of gifts. Jeff Sr. got cinnamon buns for him and Jeffrey Jr., filled their stockings and even took the cameras out of Jesse’s bedroom and room in the Morton building. Yet, this wasn’t enough for Jesse who complains the whole day. Jesse doesn’t lift a finger to make the day special for his dad and brother and yet expects them to keep family traditions going and get him stuff.
  • He eats a doughnut without permission and tries to steal it after being fired from the restaurant but failed after being caught by the manager in THE VOLUNTEER!.
  • He steals food from the Stahlberger Residence, which leads to Aunt Melissa smashing possessions in Uncle Larry's trailer. On top of this, he continues living on their property even after Melissa told him to leave. This leads to Melissa hiring his father to destroy the trailer and Larry losing trust in him because he lied to him about Melissa allowing him to stay on her property, and because of this, Larry tries to murder Jeff Sr. and gets a severe neck injury, which ends up ruining Jesse's relationship with his cousin Tom.

Trivia[]

  • Jesse is similar to Stephen Quire in the Greatest Freakout Ever series and Michael Green in the Angry Grandpa series because both have anger issues and break their families' belongings/get their belongings broken by their family.
  • Jesse is the most profane character in the series. He tends to say "f***" dozens of times each episode. This is probably because he has a bipolar disorder.
    • However, in some videos (such as Hell's Kitchen, Jesse censors himself despite his viewers listening to him swear constantly in the Psycho Videos.
    • Jesse has cussed somewhere around 1,711 times throughout all 50 episodes of the series.
  • Jesse always refuses to drink alcohol, and has been carded once when buying beer for Uncle Larry.
    • Jesse stopped drinking after his brain injury in 21 Shots.
    • Jesse considered drinking at Vidcon, but wasn't able to since he had mono.
  • Jesse worked in a bank once, mentioned in THE WEDDING CONFRONTATION!, which he quit to focus on YouTube. If he kept his job as a banker, then Jeffrey Sr. wouldn't concern about his son's job.
  • When Jesse grabs a stick-like object in an attempt to attack another person, Jeffrey Jr. calls him an island native, shown in Psycho Dad Shreds Video Games and Psycho Dad Buries Video Games. This is in reference on how island natives used their spears to attack enemies.
  • Jesse's favorite eatery is New Dodges Market.
    • However, in THE VOLUNTEER!, he was kicked out of the restaurant because he ate a pastry without permission.
  • Over the last few months, Jesse appears to have become more destructive, acting more and more like his father through the recent events of the Psycho Series.
    • This is especially apparent in Psycho Kid Submerges Motorcycle, where he destroys Jeffrey Jr.'s motorcycle over his car getting painted pink.
      • Ironically, since the events of the aforementioned video, Jesse seems to praise his car being pink and even promoted it for breast cancer awareness month.
  • In the QnA video #15, Jesse reveals that he is agnostic and he also says that he believes in the existence of aliens.
  • Jesse mentioned in Psycho Family Therapy that he doesn't believe in God (Christianity). But in THROUGH THE ASHES! *PSYCHO UPDATE*, Jesse asked God for help to put the fire out. It starts to rain, causing Jesse to believe that God DOES exist and cares about him. He also prays to God again in TO THE HEAVENS! *PSYCHO UPDATE*.
    • However, it's a speculation if Jesse actually believes in God.
  • Jesse is the only character to appear in every single Psycho video to date (though only his voice was heard in Psycho Brother's Kung-Fu Freakout).
  • In ADORABLE BABY GOATS!, Jesse confirmed that he was meant to be born as a girl with Down Syndrome and that he'd be named Jessica, thus why his name is Jesse.
  • According to himself in LESS OF A MAN!, Jesse used to have orthodontic braces.
  • When Jesse recorded his voicemail for Dr. Nelson in i'm a psychopath., it was revealed that Jesse had suffered from mental health issues many years ago.
  • Jesse's personality bears resemblance to that of Daniel Petric, a 16-year-old American convicted murderer from Wellington, Ohio. Petric shot both of his parents (his mother died while his father recovers) after his father took away his copy of the video game Halo 3. In contrast, Jesse only shot his father in the penultimate episode.
