|~ Jenna Zan Arbor to Qui-Gon Jin|
Jenna Zan Arbor is a supporting character in Jedi Apprentice: The Deadly Hunter. She was a human female from Ventrux who was active before and during the Clone Wars. She was a brilliant but deranged scientist who had numerous confrontations with members of the Jedi Order, specifically Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker. During the Clone Wars, she became one of the leading scientists of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
At the beginning of her scientific career, Jenna Zan Arbor was a famed scientist and head of Arbor Industries where she became well known for her vaccine that saved an entire planet from a pandemic that swept it before and cured the deadly virus that brought the pandemic. Jenna had developed technology that helped many worlds like Melasaton overcome their burdens however, she secretly started these problems to begin with so she could solve them and grow her reputation.
During her career, Jenna had developed an interest in the force and began to conduct experiments to study the force find out more about it. Jenna had connections to Republic senator Uta S'orn who helped keep her dark practices secret from the Galactic Senate however, her son, Ren, was being experimented on by Jenna in secret unbeknownst to her. Ren ended up dying as a result of the experiments and feeling somewhat remorseful, she sought to find a stronger test subject for her force experiments so she hired bounty hunter Ona Nobis to abduct Jedi Master Noor R'aya and bring him to her research facility on Simpla-12. Weeks later, Nobis had captured Qui-Gon Jinn and brought him to her laboratory where she had tortured him to the point of near-death.
Eventually however, Qui-Gon would be found and rescued by his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi accompanied by Astri Oddo, who was disguised as Ona Nobis. Jenna however, threatened the Jedi that she had another one, Noor R'aya, and that she would inject him with poison had Qui-Gon left the building. She then had her assistant, Nil, killed as he was a liability and contacted Cholly, Weez, and Tup for extraction off of the planet and for a shipment of battle droids but, the trio were actually helping Obi-Wan, Siri Tachi, and Adi Gallia get into her lab.
Capture on Belasco
With all of her battle droids destroyed, Zan Arbor had fled the planet with Noor and headed to Belasco where she created a chemical from natural waterborn organisms on the planet and planned to use it on the local populace. With the help fo S'orn, she infiltrated the containment facilities where she could inject the bacteria into the water system but, the Jedi had caught up with her and had the needed data to cure her virus.
