Well, that's funny. 'Cause I got nowhere to be because you pretty much destroyed my career. Do you realise what it did to me, by making me call myself Jack Lame? It was a living hell!
~ Jack to Ron Burgundy before he almost cries
All right!, looks like this fight's over. Let's go, boys.
~ Jack Lime, before he is accidentally killed by Brick Tamland.
Jack Lime is the main antagonist of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and Ron Burgundy's second major nemesis.

He is portrayed by James Marsden, who also portrayed Harold Quince in 2 Guns.

Jack Lime is the hotshot anchor who is GNN’s shining star, and who appears to be the new nemesis for Ron, a fitter, happier, more productive version of Vince Vaughn’s Wes Mantooth. This scene is the first time the two meet, across a crowded GNN newsroom, and it doesn’t go well for Ron. They make a bet that if Jack wins, Ron and his friends leave New York, but if Ron wins, Jack changes his name to "Jack Lame", which Ron wins.

Angered and humiliated, Jack gains revenge on Ron by sabotaging his flute performance at his celebration of telling the news of a car chase, by throwing a cable on an ice rink, making him blind, as a revenge for making him change his name to "Jack Lame".

He later confronts Ron on his way for his son's piano performance to get back at him more, but Ron, Brick, Champ and Brian gain the upper hand to escape, suddenly, Ron's former rival, Wes Mantooth, threatens to drop a cigarette on flammable oil under Jack and his news team's feet. They surrendered and the forfeit the fight, until Brick accidentally dropped a sparkler that blew him, Ron, Champ including Brian to the recital, though ended up killing Jack and Mantooth.

  • 2 Guns and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (both of which James Marsden starred in) came out in 2013.
