I hate Illinois Nazis!
~ Jake expressing his dislike of Illinois Nazis.

The Illinois Nazis are an antagonistic faction from the 1980 movie The Blues Brothers.

History[]

After winning a court case they were able to march through Marquette Park on Chicago's southwest side. This caused a large number of protesters to confront them, and caused a traffic jam of people wanting to go through the park. The Head Nazi spoke through a bullhorn, taunting the protesters.

Jake and Elwood were in one of the cars held up by the Illinois Nazis. After learning that the Illinois Nazis were causing the hold-up, Elwood drove around the cars ahead of them and sped towards the Nazis, forcing them to jump off the bridge they were on into the river below. The leader tasked the group's gruppenführer with getting the license plate so they could track down and kill the driver of the car that forced them off the bridge.

The Illinois Nazis later caught up with Jake and Elwood as the pair headed to the Cook County Assessor's Office. Chasing them through the streets of Chicago the head Nazi's car flew off an incomplete freeway and crashed into a Chicago street, and was then crushed by the second Illinois Nazi car.
