Huey Emmerich is an antagonist in the Metal Gear series, serving as a supporting character from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and one of the two secondary antagonists in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
He was voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka (who also voiced Donquixote Doflamingo and Ende the Devourer) in Japanese and Christopher Randolph in English, who both voice his son. In The Phantom Pain, his physical motion capture was performed by Sebatian Lr Floch, who he was also modeled after.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater[]

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker[]
He was a mechanical engineer responsible for developing bipedal locomotion technology for the Peace Walker Project in 1974, later he joined Big Boss's side and he offers his support to him.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes[]
Huey reported to Big Boss that everything was going smoothly with the UN inspection around the time of a forced abdominal surgery practiced to remove a bomb planted inside Paz's body. However, the inspection resulted in Mother Base being attacked by Cipher's elite strike force XOF, forcing Huey to escape.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain[]
He served as the chief engineer of Metal Gear Sahelanthropus in 1984 and was now able to walk thanks to a set of exoskeleton legs. He and Strangelove also had a son named Hal four years prior. However, in the year 1983, Huey used his son as a test subject to pilot Sahelanthropus, much to Strangelove's disapproval. He then locked Strangelove in the Boss' AI Pod and left her to die.
Huey joined the Diamond Dogs, but would later conspire with Eli and his unit to repair and steal Sahelanthropus. He would also sabotage medical equipment in Mother Base's quarantine facility, causing the vocal cord parasites to mutate and infect the Diamond Dog mercenaries and medical staff, thus forcing Snake to kill all of them while Emmerich hypocritically berated him for it. After finding out about Huey's role in the disaster, including causing the parasite's mutation in an attempt to sell it to Cipher, as well as for all of his previous crimes against MSF, Diamond Dogs and Strangelove, Miller and the remaining survivors all called for Huey's execution; however, Snake decided that Huey was to instead be exiled from Mother Base via life raft. As the raft was being lowered, Huey ranted that he was innocent, that the Diamond Dogs were the real murderers, and that Venom Snake was the one who should have been exiled. Due to his exoskeleton legs nearly causing the raft to sink, Huey was forced to discard them, leaving him unable to walk once again.
Death[]
Huey survived his exile, and managed to make it back to civilization, where he would reunite with his son at some point. Later in life, he married British native, Julie Danziger. In 1997, Huey discovered that his second wife had been having an affair with Hal and drowned himself in the family pool, nearly taking his stepdaughter, Emma, with him. Hal claims it was a suicide, but it’s entirely possible Huey had attempted to murder his wife’s daughter in a fit of rage and retaliation.

- While he most likely guilty of killed Strange Love and Mutate vocal cord parasite. Fans are still debates whatever he actually guilty of MSF destruction by XOF whatever Heuy actually betrayed MSF or he actually believe that the inspection was genuine.
