Henry Jekyll, also known as The Groundsman, is an antagonist from Season 6 of the fairytale drama, Once Upon a Time.
He is portrayed by Hank Harris.
Biography
Though he originally seemed to be the heroic half of Mr. Hyde, his true nature is revealed in the episode "Strange Case," after he attempted to kill Belle in order to exact vengeance against Rumplestiltskin, the same villainous goal as his counterpart. In order to protect Belle, Jekyll was killed by Killian Jones; this also killed Hyde.
Jekyll is based on the protagonist from Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Trivia
- Although Jekyll is actually more evil than his counterpart Hyde, he is not the main antagonist of the season as he never got a chance to get his plans off the ground, relied too much on the heroes for help being physically weak, and was easily killed off by Killian four episodes into the season.
