Grimsly is Burgermeister's right-hand man and the secondary antagonist in the Rankin/Bass Christmas special, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.

Grimsley is the main secondary official of Burgermeister Meisterburger in Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town. Though he is not as ill tempered as his upper-man, he takes just as much joy in depriving the kids of fun. He, along with Burgermeister, are shown to take delight in the burning of the toys. He, however, shows a softer side at the beginning in which he informed Burgermeister of the baby which happened to be Kris Kringle

When we first see Grimsly, he is interrupting his boss, the Burgermeister, one wintry evening, while he is having a great dinner, to report a baby abandoned in a basket at the doorstep, the only clue to his identity being a card with the name Claus. The Burgermeister has no intentions of taking in a baby, and orders Grimsby to take the infant to the local orphanage ("Orphan Asylum"). Somehow, Grimsly loses the baby, who miraculously ends up in the hands of the Kringle elves, who adopt him as Kris.

Years later, when the Burgermeister trips on a toy duck and outlaws all toys in retaliation, Grimsly proceeds to enforce it without question, confiscating all the toys in town from the weeping children. When Kris almost wins over the Burgermeister with a yo-yo, it is Grimsly who ruins the moment by reminding his boss that he is breaking his own law. From that time on, Grimsly is constantly trying to capture Kris and his friends on the Burgermeister's orders, and finally succeeds by following Jessica to the Kringles' workshop. It may be inferred that after Jessica helps Kris and his friends escape custody with the help of the magic corn and the reindeer, and right under Grimsly's nose, he probably lost his job, as he never appears again after that.
