The Goat Butlers are monstrous villains from Umineko no Naku Koro ni who are low-level furniture summoned by Beatrice. While there are many of them, they are all silent, with no personality, faithfully serving their masters. Their sensitivity is closer to that of an animal's than that of a human's, and they sometimes surprisingly misunderstand their orders foolishly. By nature, they all have a large build like a minotaur, and incredible superhuman strength. Even though they are ranked low-level amongst the other furniture, they can be very convenient and an inexhaustible supply of them can be summoned as well. The goats seem to be rather ravenous when eating, judging from how horribly mangled their victims become.
Turn of the Golden Witch
The goats later await Beatrice's return after the riddle of the epitaph comes to a close and she is revived. Not only do they devour Kinzo Ushiromiya alive, his grandson Battler is also left to "entertain" them after his failure to gain Beatrice's approval. Many more pursue Rosa Ushiromiya and her daughter Maria, where Rosa overpowers several of them. The goats ultimately prevail after Rosa breaks her ankle, despite her still managing to take several more out with after Maria reloads her gun. It is shown that Rosa has managed to defeat several goats with Maria's handbag, as it contains a heavy gold bar from the chapel.
Alliance of the Golden Witch
When Krauss Ushiromiya and the other prisoners escape from the dungeon of Kuwadorian where they were imprisoned by Kinzo, Virgilia accompanies one of the goats, who had found a shortcut. Krauss agrees to battle the goat in order to escape, wheras Virgilia comments on how Krauss' strength was at 6, while her goat's strength was 1000. Virgilia underestimated Krauss, of course, and was too overconfident in her abilities; Krauss managed to overpower the goat, and the prisoners all escaped. In the battle, it can be noted that the Goat Butlers have consciousnesses, as the goat was thinking about how he was going to get married had he won, and how hard he had worked.
Ougon Musou Kyoku
The goats also appear in Ougon Musou Kyoku as Virgilia's helpers. They have various methods of helping her when she attacks, like throwing her opponent for her and stampeding over her hapless opponent. Several goats, both male and female, can also be seen in the backgrounds of several stages during metaworld declarations.
