Visimajoris

Visimajoris is a demonic entity from Marvel comics and an enemy of Doctor Strange.

History[]

Nothing has been revealed about Visimajoris' past.

It somehow became allied with the Creators, a group of sorcerers who sought to replace the stars, and transform the stars into humans.

When Dr. Strange probed the portal to Creation II, the base of the Creators, it suddenly flew open and he was assaulted by Visimajoris.

It was hoping that Strange would tire of his futile efforts to enter Creation II, but when he continued, Visimajoris was forced to rouse itself from its slumbers and subdue him.

Visimaoris blasted Strange, splitting his soul in half, then fourths, and again, and again until there were 1,024 glassy-eyed and confused Dr. Stranges standing before it.

Visimajoris took advantage of Strange's weakness and confusion, and prepared to destroy him with another blast.

However, Apalla, one of the stars that had taken human form suddenly appeared to assist Strange, and she blasted Visimajoris.

They left him in a burning heap.

Powers and Abilities[]

Visimajoris is an extra-dimensional demon and is thus completely immortal, immune to most non-magical power and likely had a vast array of abilities under his belt.

His most prominent ability was optic-beams from his many eyes that could alter the life-force (souls) of his victims, splitting the "soul" into multiple parts and weakening his victim in the process - their didn't seem to be a limit to the number of times he could perform this task, though if split sufficiently a victim would surely die as Visimajoris tore them apart of a spiritual level.

Visimajoris was not able to defend himself from the power of Apalla, who was a living embodiment of a star - her blast would thus be at minimum of a force equal to a solar flare, which easily vaporized Visimajoris.

However, as a demon he may well reform in another dimension and thus the apparent death of his physical form is likely only a set-back, as many other demons have shown the ability to resurrect themselves or live on after similar defeats.

Trivia[]

  • it bares similarities to Helleyes, suggesting they may be of the same species or dimension.
  • the optic-blasts and their random, powerful mystic abilities are likely a homage to Beholders, who also have such abilities - though Visimajoris differs from Beholders in having a physical body (while Beholders only have a grotesque head as a physical vessel).
