The Gila-Munja are a group of dangerous mutant assassins who appeared in the 2000 AD comic strip Judge Dredd. They appeared in the story "Assault on I-Block Four".
Biography[]
They are hired to take out the target when normal human hitmen are unable to get their target and kill one of their own when agreeing to the contract. After ex-mobster "Shakey" Pet Coco had promised to the Judges to snitch on the other mobsters, the Gila-Munja were hired to take him out.
After tracing him to I-Block Four, the Gila-Munja managed to fight their way through the building but most of the them were killed in the process. A surviving Gila-Munja managed to reach Shakey and proceeds to tear down the steel door but it was gunned down by Judge Dredd, but unfortunately Shakey had died of a heart attack.
After the incident, the Gila-Munja were put on Mega-City One's most wanted list and announced an "Open Season" if any were encountered.
Powers and Abilities[]
Gila-Munja have a wide array of abilities including turning their bodies invisible, secreting their claws in toxic venom, scaling walls with ease and posses large amounts of strength. Other breeds of Gila-Munja posses differing abilities.
