Satan Goss has the power to enrage the creatures, turning then in vicious monsters!
~ The narrator of the series, everytime Satan Goss used his powers.

Satan Goss (サタンゴース Satangōsu) is the main antagonist of the Metal Hero Tokusatsu series Super Megabeast Investigator Juspion. He is a dark being born from the negative energies of the entire universe who seeks to establish a Megabeast Empire by corrupting the Megabeasts to serve him.

The prophet Edin predicted through the Galactic Bible that Satan Goss would emerge to conquer the universe. His disciple, Jaspion, tought this was just nonsense, until Satan Goss finally emerges, fulfilling the prophecy. He immediately starts to wreak havoc by enraging monsters on every planet he set his foot. Jaspion follows him and battle the many monsters with his giant mech Daileon. Once he arrives at Earth, he decides this would the perfect place to establish his empire. He sends his son Mad Gallant, who have the same abilities as Jaspion, to find and kill Jaspion. He also asked for the help of many other bad guys such as the witch Gilza.

Satan Goss is of gigantic proportions, wearing a black armor that resembles a cross between Darth Vader and Megatron, but his true form, Great Satan Goss which he assumes the form of in the end of the series, is a very monstrous Cthulhu-like form.

He is voiced by the late Shōzō Iizuka, who also voiced other Metal Hero villains, such as Demon King Psycho and Great Emperor Kubilai, as well as Dr. Neo Cortex in the Japanese dub of Crash Bandicoot and Dino Geist in Brave Exkaiser.

Biography[]

Satan Goss was original a being born of the negative energy of the Dark Galaxy. Not long after his emergence, Satan Goss began a campaign to conquer the universe but was thwarted by the phoenix-like Golden Bird. However, Satan Goss' return was foretold in the Galactic Bible held by the galactic prophet Ejin, leading him to make preparations for when Satan Goss would rise again.

On the day foretold by the Galactic Bible, Satan Goss arose once more and began corrupting the Megabeasts of the universe into going on enraged rampages, planning to build an army of them to use to expand his empire. In response, Ejin sent his disciple Juspion in the starship Daileon to investigate Megabeast activity and take out any that had been corrupted by Satan Goss.

Satan Goss would eventually make his way to Earth, which he decided to turn into the seat of his empire due to the large number of Megabeasts residing in slumber on it. Satan Goss and his son Mad Gallant would soon begin searching for the Golden Bird, the being which had thwarted his ambitions previously, but Juspion learned of the Golden Bird's existence too and sought to find it as well.

After Mad Gallant was slain by Juspion, Satan Goss summoned the Galactic Witch Gilza to resurrect him, planning to have his son inherit his empire once it was completed.

As his power began to overflow, Satan Goss decided to finally shed his armor and assume his true form "Great Satan Goss". In preparation for this, Gilmarza kidnapped a little girl named Yumiko to make dance and sacrifice to Satan Goss, but Juspion arrived just in time to stop the ritual and save Yumiko. Nevertheless, Satan Goss was able to reach his true form and easily overwhelmed Juspion, who was forced to flee rather than fight him.

When Mad Gallant was killed by Juspion, Satan Goss had the pieces of his body gathered up and summoned the Galactic Witch Gilza to Earth to have her perform a ritual to revive Mad Gallant, so that he could one day inherit the Megabeast Empire from him.

Newly revived, Mad Gallant continued to spearhead the hunt for the Golden Bird before Juspion could find it. He and his empire would later forward in their plans to terraform Earth into a planet suitable for Megabeasts. As part of this plan, Mad Gallant sent Gilmarza, the sister of Gilza, along with Brima and Gyol to find a little girl to sacrifice to Satan Goss in a ritual that would allow him to assume his ultimate form. Juspion managed to interrupt the ritual and rescue the little girl, but was unable to stop Satan Goss from casting off his armor and reaching his final form as Great Satan Goss.
