The Redeemer is one of the main antagonists of the 2003 videogame Spawn: Armageddon. He is a Angel assassin that was tasked by Heaven to aid them in completing the mission to ending Hell by bringing about the armageddon.
He was portrayed by John DiMaggio.

Background[]
Whenever hell threatens the balance of power, even a little, Heaven needed more skill and cunning to fight back. At times like these, a human candidate from Earth is picked and transported into the Angels Space Station where the host is filled with elemental fire and becoming the Redeemer, known as the Anti-Spawn. Under normal circumstances, Redeemer’s original mission was to eliminate the Hellspawn. But due to Heaven’s orders, this incarnation of the Redeemer has been ordered to capture Spawn and bring him back to the space station.
Spawn: Armageddon[]
The Redeemer is first encountered in mission 16: Heaven’s Soldier, where is approaches Spawn and engaged in battle with him. After being defeated, the Redeemer starts to heal himself. Mammon appears and warns Spawn to go to the New York Park where the portal to Hell is open. Redeemer chases down to the park and is unable to capture Spawn due to the power of Hell, making him to retreat back to the angels station.
After Spawn infiltrated into the space station and found the control room, trying out to shut down the laser, Redeemer finds him and claims that the weapon will put an end of thousands of years of warfare. Spawn questions him about Angels obliterating anyone who rebel against them, which revealed by Redeemer that has been their for years and wonders if Al Simmons was ever involved in a preemptive strike and would understand the Angels’ purpose, to which Spawn responded angrily.
In the final battle, Redeemer transform into the Metatron in an attempt to destroy Spawn once and for all so that he may charge up and activate the laser and set the final stage of bringing about Armageddon and ending Hell. However, He was ultimately defeated and destroyed by Spawn when the space station started to collapsed, saving the world. But failed to reunited with Wanda when Malebolgia breaks his promise to return his soul; only promised to do so if Spawn kept the space station’s laser from firing again, but it overloaded while being blown up and fire one last time.
