Nico Demo (lit. "Nick Demon") is a character from the comic book franchise Monica's Gang. Considered incorrect and opposite character to other characters of Monica's Gang stories always feature black humor and much sarcasm. Because of this his strips were censored and canceled for many years.

Nico Demo is a boy who is always looking for some way to do good and help people, but in reality the back always doom and hurts in the end of the stories. Characterized as a "little devil" in the body of a boy whose hair reminds horns Nico Demo never does evil intentionally, but always manages to do it without ever taking punishment so. Nevertheless there are also cases in which he despises the poor condition of other people making jokes and offensive pranks. He is a naughty boy who is never punished for his misdeeds.
Despite the horrible consequences of his actions, the strips usually leaves it ambiguous whether or not Nico performs them out of pure malice or if his attempts to help are genuine and the disastrous results are just accidental. Most of the strips usually end with an angel halo popping up on his head, which might indicate that he might be well-intentioned about them, but it could also mean that he just wants to appear good. Other comics, on the other hand, show him commiting acts of cruelty much more gratuitously, showcasing his more evil, apathetic and somewhat sadistic side.
Due to the censoring of his original comics, Nico Demo became less used as time went on and eventually got "retired". He does, however, make occasional cameos in Monica's Gang stories and even stars on some short stories of his own. These modern stories, however, tend to be more toned down from the dark humor of his original strips, presenting him as a more light-hearted and sympathetic character.
