Clarence Callahan, also known as Razor, is the main antagonist in Need For Speed: Most Wanted, a recurring antagonist in Need For Speed: No Limits, and a minor character in Need for Speed: Unbound.
He is a notorious street racer who first drove a black 2005 Ford Mustang GT (S-197 I) with unique flame paint vinyl before winning the player's BMW M3 GTR ALMS (E46) via sabotage.
After his defeat and arrest at the end of the Most Wanted game, he later had a black 2015 Ford Mustang GT and drove it in every Special Event during the Need For Speed: No Limits. The latter case implied that Razor either escaped prison or served his sentence and re-bought a Mustang similar to his old one. (If this is even canon to the Most Wanted/Carbon storyline.)
He then later appears to have gotten out of prison in Need For Speed: Unbound, and travels to Lakeshore City when he learns the BMW M3 GTR he once stole and drove is there. (If this also is canon to the Most Wanted/Carbon storyline.)
He was portrayed by Derek Hamilton, who also played Tim Westcott in Smallville.
Biography[]
Need for Speed: Most Wanted[]
As the player came into town, he was working his way up the Blacklist until Razor takes interest in the player's BMW M3 GTR Race (E46). Razor challenges the player to a race and sabotages the ride by having the oil cap unscrewed so that the M3's engine seizes from lack of oil during the race in order to win the pink slip to his car. This led to the player being arrested by Nathan Cross and the Rockport Police Department (RPD). Using the BMW, Razor rockets to the top of the Blacklist, the fifteen best street racers in Rockport, and the most wanted by the police.
During his way up to the Blacklist, Razor contacts the player the most throughout the game, telling him things like the player meeting Rog in prison, sarcastically thanking the player for the BMW, and assuming that the player is working for the police, along with threatening the player repeatedly. In the end, the Player defeats Razor, but before reclaiming the BMW, Razor tried to prevent the Player from doing so until Mia took him down and reveals herself as an undercover police officer for the RPD. Razor and the other 14 Blacklist Racers were arrested by Cross and his men.
Need for Speed: Unbound[]
In Need for Speed: Unbound, where Yaz/Jasmine said after delivering the same BMW M3 GTR that got totaled in Palmont City, that he got out of jail and the first thing he wanted was their car. Here, in Lakeshore City, he was going under the name "The Blacklist".
Personality[]
Razor is a bossy, spiteful, and manipulative scammer. His arrogance as Blacklist de facto leader is seen in the first scene, when Razor makes his first appearance. He argues with Ronnie before mocking the Player. He tells Mia that he can smoke the Player when she said that she knew his ride does not have a chance against him.
In the race, knowing that he can be defeated by Player, he sabotages his car and wins the pink slip for the BMW. He is mean to the Player every time he has the occasion, and went so far even mockingly calling him "sweetheart". He was also very dangerous, as he immobilized a total of 225 police vehicles and damaged 450 of those vehicles. He is also slippery, resisting police attacks until game's ending.
In addition, Razor's hubris of believing that by winning the race, even if he had to cheat, he would be more respected and recognized by the other racers, and would thus allow him to win Mia's heart. He also considers women to be inferior to him, as he often called the people he picks on "sweetheart", and even tried to assert his dominance over Mia by ignoring her when she pointed out that he lost, and even refusing to recognize her knowledge about cars.
The fact that he tends to surround himself with other women not only demonstrates his egotistical side, but also his hypocritical attitude despite claiming to have a crush on Mia. His willingness to cheat while speaking to the player that one has to earn a lot of reputation in order to land a spot on the Blacklist is overall another evidence of his hypocrisy.
Ironically, he got wrestled to the ground and arrested by Mia, who even refused to kiss him. Nevertheless, the player's loss only motivated them to get higher on the Blacklist, and would result with Razor's pride and errors in his ways becoming his ultimate downfall, and as the ultimate karma for someone like him.
Appearance[]
In the first scene, Razor appears with a black muscle shirt, as well as some bracelets and tattoos on his arms. His overall physical appearance has short brown hair, dark eyes, and tattoos on his shoulder and above his chest. Additionally, he wore a black or white tank top, included with a black jacket and jeans. (Such as in the last race against him when you win your BMW pink slip back.)

Trivia[]
- Razor is the one Blacklist racer who contacts the player the most throughout the game. He even goes so far to mock call the player 'sweetheart' as a taunt in later calls.
- Razor's theme music for his biography video is a short instrumental cover of Styles of Beyond and Celldweller's song "Shapeshifter".
- As revealed by Ronnie, Razor was Blacklist #15 in the beginning.
- It's unknown who was originally number one on the Blacklist before Razor.
- Razor's Mustang appears in the epilogue cut scene prior to his arrest, which meant that Razor could have escaped the police instead had he not tried to confront the player and Mia.
- Razor seems to have a crush on Mia Townsend, a RPD undercover agent and one of the Player's allies, and is often trying to pull Mia away from the Player's side.
- However, Mia despises Razor throughout the story, even after the Player loses to him.
- Ironically, he ended up getting arrested by Mia in the finale of the game, even failing an attempt to seduce her after he claimed that they could have had "a real good time".
- A police officer may occasionally consult dispatch about a street racer named Clarence Callahan during pursuits. This is also true in Need for Speed: Carbon because that game utilizes a large number of audio assets originally used in Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
- This makes Razor the only Blacklist member, and Most Wanted character (aside from Cross), to appear in Carbon, albeit he never appears physically and is mentioned by name.
- This shows possibility that Razor escaped prison and left Rockport after Most Wanted, and was likely coming after the player in Palmont City (the main location in Carbon). However, this was never confirmed.
- If Razor's appearance in Need for Speed: No Limits was indeed canon to the Most Wanted/Carbon story, this would likely confirm he got out of prison.
- How and when he escaped still remains unknown.
