The Hydro Hog was the tyrannical water stealing denizen of Aquitar aligned with the Evil Space Aliens, the archenemy of the Aquitarian Rangers, the titular main antagonist of the two-part Season 3 finale "Hogday Afternoon" and the final antagonist of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
He is voiced by the late Brad Orchard who previously voiced Pipebrain, the Tube Monster, Centiback and the Ravenator in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and later voiced Main Drain, Mace Face and Stenchy in Power Rangers Zeo and the Horror Bulls and Hoothead in Power Rangers In Space.

Past[]
The origins of the Hydro Hog are unknown but he hailed from the planet Aquitar and was known for having destroyed many planets. His signature ability was to drain entire planets dry of thier water through spouts and his very touch; devastating many planets' ecosystems in the process and making him the nemesis of the Aquitarian Rangers since they would die without water. Despite fighting many battles, the monster and Aquitarian Rangers always ended in a stalemate as they could not destroy him with the Battle Borgs but he also could not completely defeat them.
Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers[]
When the Aquitarian Rangers are brought to Earth by Zordon to combat Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, the Hydro Hog finds it "boring" without his archenemies to fight.
After the death of Arachnofiend, Lord Zedd has the idea to summon the Hydro Hog to Earth and deal with the Aquitarian Rangers. Zedd has the Tenga Warriors first destroy the Weather Modulator to prevent the Rangers from hydrating on Earth before sending a signal to summon the Hydro Hog. Although Alpha and Zordon block the attenot, Zedd later brings the Hydro Hog to Earth by tricking Zordon with a dummy signal. Although the Hydro Hog is aggravated with being summoned by Zedd, the latter's mention of the Aquitarian Rangers being on Earth and Rita stroking his ego pacifies him and he agrees to drain the Earth of its water. Teleporting down to Angel Grove Lake, the Hydro Hog steals all of the water with a waterspout before the Aquitarian Rangers confront him. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the Hydro Hog manages to defeat them (even stealing Tideus and Cestro's Aquitarian Sabers and using it to defeat the others). After being overwhelmed though, he plays dead which lures them in close and he is able to completely drain them of their water before removing the water from Angel Grove Lake leaving to continue his water theft.
After harassing the Aquitarian Rangers when they try to attack the Angel Grove Public Pool, the Hydro Hog attacks the city. However, the Aquitarian Rangers are re hydrated by the child Rangers using water containers and confront thier nemesis for his final battle. The Hydro Hog proves to be immune to multiple kicks from Sasuke and takes down the other Kakurangers with an anchor and throws bombs at Aurico. Getting bored, Rita and Zedd enlarge the Hydro Hog so the Aquitarian Rangers form the Shogun Megazord. However, the Hydro Hog proves to be too powerful and even catches the Fire Saber before knocking it back and wiping it out with his flame breath. Before he can revel in this victory however, Billy summons the White Ninja Falconzord which disarms the Hydro Hog with a laser barrage. The Hydro Hog tries to destroy it with fire but it is unfazed and fuses with the Shogun Megazord to form the Shogun Megafalconzord. The Hydro Hog is unimpressed but they release a devastating barrage, finally managing to destroy the Hydro Hog.
Legacy[]
Despite the Hydro Hog's death, his attack allowed Rito Revolto and Goldar to plant a bomb and destroy the Command Center which led to the emergence of the Zeo Rangers. As a very direct result of the tyrant's death though, the Hydro Contaminators arose on Aquitar to threaten the planet until the new Zeo Blaster technology forced them to sign a peace treaty; finally bringing peace on Aquitar.

The Hydro Hog showed complete disdain for anyone doing good and his hatred for the Aquitarian Rangers was evident when Lord Zedd called upon him and which he immediately agreed to help destroy them. Even with Rita and Zedd, he was extremely rude and insulting to his allies. Although he lacked a specific accent, the Hydro Hog spoke in lingo commonly associated with a New York accent ("matta" or "whatta"). The Hydro Hog also proved to be sadistic as he enjoyed torturing children with a waterspout and draining the Rangers.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Power: The Hydro Hog was the most powerful enemy in MMPR, explicitly being responsible for turning multiple planets to wastelands, being stronger than the Shogun Megazord (and by extension any Megazord in all three seasons) and being too much for even the Battle Borgs.
- Strength: The Hydro Hog was powerful enough to best all five Aquitarian Rangers in battle, knocking down Corcus and Cestro with one throw of his anchor and earlier knocking them down just by slamming his elbows into their spines. When giant, he was able to block the Shogun Megazord's Fire Saber with one hand.
- Durability: The Hydro Hog was immune to almost all attacks such as shrugging off multiple punches and kicks from Aurico, a series of jump kicks right to his chest from Aurico, and the White Ninja Falconzord's lasers without a scratch.
- Instantaneous Teleportation: The Hydro Hog could instantly teleport around the battlefield which he did to avoid a slash from both Delphine and Tideus.
- Image Projection: The Hydro Hog could project his image to the Moon after first being contacted by Zedd.
- Fireball Transportation: The Hydro Hog came to Earth in an orange fireball.
- Hand to Hand Combat: The Hydro Hog was a skilled enough hand to hand combatant to defeat all five Aquitarian Rangers at once.
- Expert Swordsman: The Hydro Hog was a skilled swordsman, being able to defeat all five Aquitarian Rangers in battle.
- Reflexes: The Hydro Hog was fast enough to block Aurico jump slashing at him.
- Dehydrate Touch: The Hydro Hog could drain his enemies' bodies of water by placing any of his limbs on them.
- Water Drain: The Hydro Hog's signature ability where he could send out waterspouts by flashing his eyes orange and unleashing a blue energy spiral from his raised right arm to absorb entire lakes.
- Energy Absorption: The Hydro Hog was able to absorb Rita and Zedd's lightning to grow giant.
- Fire Breath: The Hydro Hog's most powerful attack where he could spew devastatingly powerful orange flames from his mouth. These caused large explosions and instantly defeated the Shogun Megazord but didn't faze the White Falconzord.

- Hydro Sword: The Hydrp Hog carried a long silver sword in combat.
- Aquitarian Sabers: The Hydro Hog stole Cestro and Tideus' Aquitarian Sabers to use against the other Aquitarian Rangers.
- Anchor: During his final battle, the Hydro Hog wielded a giant metal anchor which he could both throw hard enough to take down Corcus and Cestro with one hit and swing to knock down Delphine and Tideus.
- Water Bombs: The Hydro Hog could extract sea mines from the plates on his shoulder and fling them forth to cause large explosions.
