Evil Xavier is the un-official name of a villainous alternate-version of Charles Francis Xavier found in Marvel Comics. He appears as one of the very first major antagonists the Exiles would face in their 2001 arc.
He's an extremely misantrophic terrorist who wants to commit global genocide and replace the human race with mutants.
Biography[]
Born into an alternate reality this version of Xavier was a deranged anthrophobic/misanthropic terrorist who sought to commit genocide against the human race and was imprisoned as a result. When the Exiles came to his world they believed that he was a victim of human oppression and set him free only to get a nasty surprise when they realized they had unleashed a monster. "Evil Xavier" proceeded to knock the group out using his powers after scanning their minds, declaring he would rather die than be associated with the ideas of a world where humans and mutants co-existed as equals, instead deciding to continue his original plan of killing off the human race and replacing them with mutants.
Xavier would start his rampage via unleashing a massive psychic shockwave upon a heavily populated city, killing everyone within a 5-mile radius. He then gathered his reality's X-Men (who were also terrorists) to go on a larger-scale attack.
The Exiles would fight back by using disruption tech to protect themselves from Xavier's otherwise deadly psychic attacks and due to his extreme fanaticism he had to be killed (albeit reluctantly) by Mimic to stop him from causing more havoc, Mimic achieved this task via activating his claws and piercing Xavier's skull, moments before his death Xavier proclaimed himself to be a necessary evil for a greater good, despite the massive bloodshed he had created.
Trivia[]
- While this theoretically would end the threat he posed to humanity once and for all there could be room for Xavier to return as powerful psychics in Marvel have done similar via surviving as thought-forms, like Kid Omega did.
- This version of Xavier is a volatile mix of Apocalypse and Magneto in terms of his philosophy as he champions mutant supremacy (as Magneto does) but also takes this idea to a genocidal extreme and sought to wipe out the entire human race (as per Apocalypse's goal).
- The name "Evil Xavier" is never used in the comic itself but is used for this wiki to help differ the character from his heroic counterpart.
- This version of Xavier is not to be confused with the Shadow Xavier, who is another evil-version of Xavier who appeared in New Excalibur and was technically a pawn/host of the Shadow King.
