Emperor Metallix is a major antagonist in the British comic series Sonic the Comic by Fleetway Editions, appearing as the main antagonist of the Brotherhood of Metallix arc.
He is the Supreme Leader of the Brotherhood of Metallix, and is a sentient robot that has free will. His power and sentience enabled him to go rogue, completely betraying Robotnik's orders and instead plotted to become the ruler of Mobius by himself. He is also the archenemy of the Omni-Viewer.

Background[]
Created by Grimer and installed with a self destruct feature by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Emperor Metallix was originally supposed to oversee the Metallix and assist Robotnik in his schemes. However he would soon go rogue deciding that only the Metallix were fit to rule Mobius and sought to wipe out all organic life on the planet.
Encounter with Knuckles and the Chaotix[]
As part of his master plan he would have him go attempted to seize the Omni-Viewer to gain the ability to move through space in time. To do this he would hire Nack the Weasel to steal the access codes for him and would send his Metallix bots to capture the Omni-Viewer. He would face resistance from Knuckles and the Chaotix so he would have Nack be a double agent for him and lead the group into a trap. He would then try to have Nack killed as well despite his help which would cause Nack to pull out a disruptor gun although he would get shot anyway. Knuckles would then shoot Emperor Metallix with the Disruptor, presumably destroying him and rescue the Omni-Viewer. However Emperor Mettalix was able to make a backup of his system and was able to make a copy of the Omni-Viewer allowing him access to space and time.
Taking over Miracle Planet[]
For the next phase of the plan, he would have the Metallix kidnap their creator Grimer and force him under the threat of death to build the Alpha device which would be able to roboticize Miracle planet to use it as an unlimited energy source for the Brotherhood. he would succeed in making the device and upon Sonic's arrival he would take the device but would be forced to hand it back when Emperor Metallix threatened to kill Grimer. He would then depart for Miracle planet and start to use the device to turn the plan into metal and would capture Sonic and friends. He would be taken out by an explosion Sonic's friend Porker although with the last of his strength he would reactivate the device, leaving Porker stranded on the planet with the Emperor forcing Sonic and friend to retreat back home to wait until the planet reappeared .
Conquest of Mobius and defeat[]
Preparing for his conquest of the planet he would send a robotic version of Porker to distract Sonic and camouflage Miracle planet to disguise it being mechanized. He would then use the Omni-Viewer copy to go back in time to stop Doctor Kintobor from becoming Robotnik which would in turn remove the self-destruct feature from the Metallix. They would then launch a full-scale invasion on Mobius wiping out most of the life on the planet and turning the planet into Planet Metallix. This would later be undone by Sonic who would go back in time to foil their rewrite of the past. The emperor realizing that Sonic would go to Robotnik to ask him to destroy the Metallix with the self-destruct feature would invade the Citadel Robotnik. He would then attempt to crush Robotnik to prevent him from activating the self-destruct feature but would be stopped by Sonic who would activate it himself causing the Metallix and their Emperor to be destroyed once and for all.
Backup plan[]
Despite his death he would program the copy of the Omni-Viewer to ensure in the event of his death that Sonic and Robotnik would die too. He would do this by summoning multiple versions of them from different timelines to have the war destroy them and all timelines as part of his revenge. This would be foiled however, by the copy being purged of malice by linking up with the Original Omni viewer. Ending the war before it could escalate.
Personality[]
The Emperor Metallix is a cold machine rarely showing any emotion. It holds contempt for all organic life including Dr. Robotnik who they called a fool for making them assist in his schemes. He is arrogant and believing his Metallix to be superior to all organic life and desires to wipe them all out and have them rule supreme. While he does call his Metallix "brothers", he shows no care for them beyond extensions of himself showing just how egotistical he is.
Trivia[]
- Unlike other Metallix robots that have powers based on Sonic the Hedgehog's powers, Emperor Metallix has its own powers.
- Emperor Metallix is loosely based on Metal Sonic Kai, the final boss of Knuckles' Chaotix.
- The idea of an Emperor came from the Daleks from Doctor Who. Nigel Kitching did not initially mean to rip off the Daleks, but once he noticed the similarity he decided to run with it rather than tweak it into something different.
- Emperor Metallix is like name Metallix, well known for being the main antagonist of Alvin-Earthworm's reboot series; Super Mario Bros Z. Here, he is referred to as Metallix, and was the combined form of Mecha Sonic, Metal Sonic, Silver Sonic, and various other robots.
