Quess Paraya is a 13-year-old Newtype serving as a soldier of Neo Zeon and a major antagonist in the 1988 film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.
She is voiced by Maria Kawamura in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Jocelyne Loewen in the English version of the anime.
History[]
Quess Paraya was originally the daughter of an Earth Federation minister. She was born as a latent newtype and its because of her unique brain and mind that defines the latter of her naive and love-obsessed personality.
After Amuro and the Londo Bell squadron don't pay enough attention to her, Quess defects over to Neo Zeon and quickly becomes infatuated with Char Aznable. She also becomes jealous of Nanai Miguel for her apparent relationship with Char. After Gyunei Guss tells her that Char doesn't really love her and that he lost his one true love, Lalah Sune, in the One Year War, Quess vows to push Lalah and Nanai out of Char's mind forever.
She later dies in battle at the hands of Chan Agni, though the fifth Gundam evolve short provides an alternative fate where Quess turns good and saves Hathaway.
